InZoi is currently in its developmental stage, known as Early Access, which means that various gameplay elements are still being developed and refined. Among these elements, the one I am most intrigued by and enjoy the most is the driving mechanic within the game. Here’s a guide on how to obtain a vehicle in InZoi and learn how to operate it effectively.

How to get a car in InZoi

Before we move forward, let me clarify the process of obtaining a car. You can easily acquire one through the Dream Car app on your smartphone, which offers a selection of seven vehicles for sale. Among them, four are standard InZoi models and the remaining three are Hyundais. After you’ve completed the purchase, your new vehicle will be waiting for you parked on the street near your residence. Now, it’s time to hit the road!

How to drive in InZoi

An efficient way to utilize your vehicle is by activating the “drive” setting as you choose a location on your city map. Afterward, Zoi will exit and summon the car using a small remote device, then drive towards their destination. By pressing ‘Tab’ when inside the car and switching to “shoulder view” mode, you can experience the journey in a first-person perspective.

If you prefer, you can opt for manual driving within the game. To do so, navigate to the settings menu, find the gameplay section, and toggle on the experimental manual driving feature. Afterward, select your character Zoi, then pick the “car” option from her submenu, followed by choosing “Get in car (manual driving)”. Once inside the vehicle, you can switch between third-person and first-person views using Tab. Remember that while traffic rules aren’t strictly enforced, and your car won’t be damaged, rear-ending another car may lead to a virtual argument about who is at fault. However, there are no real-life consequences like financial penalties or damage repair costs.

In the current setup of InZoi, driving doesn’t offer a practical advantage over walking or using public transit. The thrill of manual driving is enjoyable but mainly serves recreational purposes. Additionally, only the eldest family member can own a car and you can only have one car at a time. Therefore, it’s best not to view driving as a crucial aspect of InZoi until it becomes more functional and accessible for all.
