The real challenge lies in a pesky bug that’s preventing players like me from unlocking the Ghost Perk, even though we’ve leveled up to the point where we should have access to it.
According to numerous social media posts, it appears that the most recent Black Ops 6 update has malfunctioned the Ghost Perk, preventing it from being unlocked for players who have already reached level 17. Consequently, this leaves you vulnerable to enemy UAVs, Scoult Pulses, and Scorestreaks, which can be lethal under normal circumstances.
Unfortunately, Ghost is an incredibly potent Perk in Black Ops 6, making it a crucial component for numerous strong loadouts. Fortunately, fans have devised a short-term solution to circumvent the issue until the upcoming patch resolves the bug.
How to fix the Black Ops 6 Ghost Perk bug
A simple solution to overcome this glitch is by having players create a copy of an existing character class that’s already been equipped with the Ghost Perk. This action will initiate the game to unlock the Perk again, enabling them to utilize it during battles.
To do this, follow the below steps:
- Head to Weapons.
- Select Loadouts.
- Find an existing class with the Ghost Perk.
- Press Y (on Xbox) or Triangle (on PlayStation).
- Select Duplicate.
After copying it, you can place it in a different inventory slot, which will activate your Ghost Perk for use. However, if you don’t have another character or class equipped with this same perk at the moment, you won’t be able to utilize it just yet.
Luckily, the problem regarding the Ghost not unlocking in Black Ops 6, even though the requirements have been met, has been added to their Trello Board as “Ghost Remains Locked After Meeting Unlock Requirements.” This suggests that the developers are aware of this issue and are likely working on a solution soon.
