The ability to personalize my character with various masks, clothes, wristwraps, and staff is not only visually appealing but adds an extra layer of immersion to the gameplay experience.
In Black Myth Wukong, you have the freedom to personalize your character by acquiring and using various items like masks, clothing, bracelets, and staff. If you own the deluxe version of the game, the monkey character will already be adorned with the Folk Opera Mask headgear upon starting. Here’s a guide on how to remove or swap it out if needed.
In Black Myth Wukong, to toggle your mask and headgear on or off, navigate to the Settings menu first. Inside this menu, click on the gear icon, which is located in the third position on the left column (it represents the Gameplay tab). After that, locate the setting named Show Headgear and switch it off to make your character’s headgear disappear during gameplay.
In the Equipment menu, where all your customizable gear is shown, you’ll notice a section for headgear. This area will display any mask currently worn by your character and give you the option to swap it out with another one. If you only have one mask in your inventory, it will automatically be equipped and cannot be un-equipped from here.
In the Equipment menu of Black Myth Wukong, you can only switch between different masks if you have more than one. To remove or unequip a mask at this time, you need to adjust the settings and hide the headgear visibility.
Disabling the Show Headgear option in the game settings only hides the mask you have chosen, rather than removing it entirely. Your character will continue to benefit from the mask’s stats (such as defense and skills), but you won’t actually see the mask while playing the game.
