As soon as you begin your first shift at Zoochosis, you’ll quickly realize that numerous animals within the zoo are afflicted by one illness or another. It will be your responsibility to identify the correct remedy for them. If you’re struggling to determine which concoction to brew, here’s a helpful guide on how to spot symptoms and cure all diseases in Zoochosis.
How to detect symptoms in animals in Zoochosis
In the immersive world of Zoochosis, my primary role as a game character isn’t just about feeding the adorable creatures in each enclosure. A crucial part of my duties also involves collecting samples and readings from the animals to identify any health issues they might be facing. With the handy Gadget Trolley at my side, I have a range of tools to help me diagnose which animals within an enclosure require medical attention.
Before you leave the train, make sure to produce the food you need for the animals at their respective enclosure, as you’ll need it for feces samples. Load it onto your Gadget Trolley once done, then wheel it to the enclosure’s entrance. Once there, follow these steps to get everything you need for a diagnosis:
- Drop food into the Feeding Area trough
- Gather the feces produced by each animal after they eat with the MFE vacuum
- There will be one pile for each animal that’s eaten in the enclosure.
- Take temperature readings with the TIS machine
- Point the tripod toward the animal and make sure it stays in view of the machine long enough for the reading to finish loading.
- Take sound readings with the ASSA machine
- Approach the animal behind so it isn’t spooked, and stay close until the reading finishes.
- Take blood samples with the Blood Syringe
- A sample can be taken from an animal once their interaction square goes from red to green.
- You can keep track of which animals you’ve drawn blood from by checking the samples you have in your inventory via the PDA.
- Look for wounds on animals with the UV flashlight
- Those with a wound visible under the light are more likely to be infected with a parasite and may be masking or mimicking false symptoms to throw you off.
As you collect samples and readings from each animal, you can easily monitor which ones have already been examined by the symbols next to their names. If there’s a question mark above a symbol, it indicates that further analysis or diagnosis is required on that particular animal.
After completing all necessary steps for a comprehensive diagnosis, your Personal Diagnostic Assistant (PDA) will signal “task finished” notifications, at which point you may return to the train to contemplate the ailment you are addressing.
How to cure all diseases in Zoochosis
After getting back on the train, please deposit the fecal samples in the Biomaterial Receiver and put your blood sample vials into the Blood Collector at the Veterinary Station. Subsequently, approach the computer at that very station to begin with checking the Diagnosis Display first.
As a dedicated animal enthusiast, I invite your attention to the collection of animals within their respective enclosures. If you take a moment to scan through the list, you’ll notice which creatures have been marked with specific indicators – temperature, sound, feces, and blood – that now appear red.
Afterward, utilize the symptom selector located above the Diseases section. Choose the symptoms your animals are exhibiting as this will help narrow down the potential diseases into a limited list. Select the one that matches the symptoms exactly. Once chosen, you will then need to create a medicinal remedy for the affected animals.
Follow these steps to find the appropriate cures: Navigate to the ‘Crafting’ section located on the left side of your screen. Here, you’ll discover a variety of potential remedies for various diseases. To determine which one is suitable, carefully review the Description provided on the right side of the screen. Some medicines are self-explanatory, while others might require a bit more in-depth reasoning to decipher their curative properties.
After identifying the right substances, ensure you have sufficient amounts for your formula. These essential items are housed in various colorful vials spread across different game locations. When prepared, press the ‘Create’ button at the bottom of the screen to prepare your medication dose. If multiple animals are ailing, remember to make an additional dose for them too.
Get the darts filled with your homemade remedy from the nearby dispenser, and place them into the Dart Gun located on your Tool Cart. Return to the enclosure and administer one dart to each animal to heal them.
Once every animal has been healed, you’ll receive a cheerful, vibrant yellow message praising your achievement in completely curing them all. It’s then time to proceed to the next exhibit.
How to cure mutated animals in Zoochosis
In Zoochosis, if you encounter a genetically altered animal within its enclosure, you’ll need to create a custom remedy tailored for their unique condition in order to heal them and restore them to their natural state. The process of healing a mutated creature in the game involves two approaches, and your choice between these methods depends on decisions made throughout the game, as well as the type of conclusion you aim to achieve.
Use Meat to calm and then cure the animal
In Zoochosis, the initial approach to healing a genetically altered animal involves carefully crafting a suitable diet specifically tailored to that particular mutated species, and this diet invariably includes some form of meat.
Keep in mind that by adopting this approach, you’ll have to employ either the Meat Block designed for Lily at the outset of the game, or offer Sarah or another human sacrifice to the grinder to create more resources. This choice could impact the outcome of your game experience.
After finishing the meat preparation and placing it in the container, simultaneously get your injection syringe filled with blood. Then promptly make your way to the enclosure, pour the food into the feeding trough located there. The mutated creature will move towards it and consume the meal, causing a temporary transformation back to its original shape.
For now, please gather a fresh blood specimen from any animal available, not necessarily the mutated one. This is essential for developing any potential cure for the mutation-related diseases. Then, promptly return to the train with your sample and use it to create the necessary medication on the computer.
After finding the appropriate dosage, simply press the ‘Three-Dose Creator‘ button located at the screen’s bottom. This will instantly prepare three doses of the medication for you, since administering three doses is necessary to completely heal the animal.
Collect blood without using Meat
As a fan who prefers a more humane approach during gameplay, it’s crucial to swiftly obtain an additional blood sample from the enclosure when the mutated creature goes berserk. Regrettably, you can’t collect extra samples before the mutation occurs, and tranquilizers are ineffective on these transformed beasts.
Hurry into the animal enclosure with your blood syringe, swiftly collect a sample from any creature as quickly as you can. Once obtained, make your way back to the train to prepare your remedy without delay. Remember, due to the mutation, it’s possible for the beast to attack and potentially harm other animals while you are away.
Alright, let’s mix up the necessary meds here, then head back to that cage. Once there, I gotta take down the mutated critter with three well-aimed shots. After that, it should hurl out the parasite for safekeeping.
