In the game Monster Hunter Worlds, the addition of Investigations enables players to participate in optional tasks. These activities can be enjoyed either individually or with companions.

Investigations differ from regular bounties because you have the freedom to craft them yourself. You can use this feature to focus on a monster you’d prefer to pursue at a later time, or design personalized hunts for cooperative play. How to create an Investigation in Monster Hunter Wilds

To start an Investigation, you’ll need to spend some Guild Points – it’s a straightforward process. Open your map, and you’ll notice various monster symbols scattered across it. Choose any symbol that catches your eye, then select the “Save As Investigation” option. This action will generate an Investigation, with the number of Guild Points used depending on the rarity of the monster you’ve chosen.

If you’re new to the game, you can’t make Investigations right from the start. However, to do so, you must first accomplish a significant quest in Chapter 4 that involves capturing a Yian Kut-ku. Once you’ve completed this task, you will gain the ability to create Investigations whenever a monster appears on your map.

How to play Investigation in Monster Hunter Wilds

After crafting an investigation or two, head over to Alma and tap on the Post/Join Quest option. In here, you’ll discover a variety of activities for gamers like us to dive into, including investigations. You can find all the missions you’ve created in this menu; pick one that catches your interest and let the adventure begin!

As a gamer, it seems like investigations are the only type of missions I can finish in these interconnected game worlds. Interestingly, I can redo an investigation multiple times, but there’s a cap on how many times I can do so. After I’ve tried several times, some of these quests vanish, forcing me to start a new one using the same process.
