How to check your remaining meal time – Monster Hunter Wilds

Consuming meals in Monster Hunter Worlds can boost your attack power, strengthen your defenses, and more. However, keep in mind that each meal only lasts for a certain duration, so you wouldn’t want to consume another one if there’s still time left on the current one as it would waste supplies. The question then becomes how to check the remaining time of your meal.

In Monster Hunter World, meals can enhance attack power and defense, among other things. But remember, a meal doesn’t last forever, so you wouldn’t want to eat another one if there’s still time on your current one because it would waste resources. So the question is, how do I check my remaining meal duration?

How to check you remaining meal time

To find out how much time you have left for your meal, simply press and hold the Item Pouch button, then look at the top-left corner of your screen. On Xbox, this button is LB, on PC it’s Ctrl, and on PlayStation it’s L1. Pressing this button will display your entire Head-Up Display (HUD), which includes your meal timer along with your health, stamina, and other crucial details.

In this game setup, the timer counts down only during hunting or exploration outside of a specific location. It gets paused when you’re back at base, so there’s no need to rush conversations with vendors. This feature is particularly handy if you’re planning to play cooperatively with friends and want to coordinate your gameplay effectively.

When it comes to meals, make sure you stop by some of the NPCs in different villages. They enjoy sharing meals with you. These meals might pack a punch, and honestly, who could resist free sustenance?
