How to change your outfit in Fantasy Life i

After advancing past the initial stages of the game and selecting your starting character, you’ll receive a notification that the Character Customization Menu has been made available in your interface. This menu showcases all the armor and cosmetic items you possess.

In Fantasy Life, you’re able to save outfits for each character class, making it easy to switch between looks. Additionally, the game offers an option to customize your weapon appearances based on what you’ve unlocked or crafted. To modify your appearance in Fantasy Life, navigate to the outfit menu (not the equipment one), and select each piece you wish to wear. The game uses a small mirror icon to indicate that these changes are purely cosmetic and won’t affect your character’s stats. You can also save multiple combinations of outfit pieces and full outfits as Sets. What’s impressive is that Fantasy Life allows you to save up to 30 sets per class, providing ample opportunity for customization.

Note: There are main story spoilers below for Chapter 3.

How to change your appearance in Fantasy Life i

If you’re not satisfied with your character’s initial look in the game, you’ll have to hold off on customizing it until Chapter 3. You might get there swiftly if you concentrate on the main plot or follow a similar timeline as I did (approximately 20 hours), considering I spent most of my time exploring the various lives instead of rushing through.

After reaching Chapter 3 and gaining access to the Guild within your Base Camp, focus on completing the quest named “Unearthing Past Secrets”, specifically the part involving Duglas. At first, you’ll mostly be interacting with NPCs in the Guild, but once you’ve wrapped up that section of the quest and revive Duglas, you’ll gain the ability to talk to Boyle (located on the left) and choose the option “Modify Appearance”. This action can be repeated multiple times at no cost.

Where to claim the Fantasy Life i Digital Deluxe Edition outfits and costumes

In the Fantasy Life game, you won’t receive the Digital Deluxe Edition DLC right away. Instead, after playing for around an hour and progressing through the initial story, a prompt will guide you to visit the Guild Office in Eternia Village (as marked on the map). Upon entering this office or the Paladin’s Guild within the village, look for the Treasure Chest located on the left. Interact with it to collect the contents of the Fantasy Life Digital Deluxe Edition DLC, which will be found under the “Deluxe Edition” section and listed below the pre-order bonus called the “New Adventurer’s Pack.
