In the game “No Man’s Sky,” there are two varieties of fish to catch: the relatively common Whispering Bonefish and the legendary Bleached Bonefish. As one might anticipate, the former is easier to locate. It dwells in deep water across all planet types. To catch it, you need to find a suitable body of water and dive to approximately 50u in depth. However, for a chance to catch it, this should be done during nighttime.
When it comes to catching Bleached Bonefish, the scenario becomes a bit more intricate. Unlike before, your journey now requires a trip to deep waters, but not just any time – you’ll need to go at night. However, this isn’t any body of water; you must venture into specific planets as these creatures inhabit only toxic biomes. Furthermore, it’s essential to use high-quality bait such as Bionic Lures while angling for your catch.
Where can I locate Bonefish during the Relics Expedition? Many planets could be potential candidates for this quest. However, most players suggest Ligard Prime in The Dig 3’s rendezvous system as a good starting point. If you don’t find a deep enough water body there, consider digging one yourself.
In this “Living Fossils” achievement, it’s not clear which specific species players need to capture. Thus, feel free to target the more commonly found Bleached Bonefish instead. Upon successful completion of this task, you will be granted 2 Hadal Cores and an Aquatic Treasure as your reward.
