As a seasoned Honkai Impact player with countless hours spent navigating the intricate world of this game, I can confidently say that Firefly is one of the most intriguing characters to grace our screens. Her unique abilities and playstyle have made her a favorite among many players, myself included.
Having played through various stages and challenges, I’ve come to appreciate Firefly even more. Her life in the game mirrors real-life situations, where timing and strategy are crucial for success. Just like how we all wait for that perfect moment to ask someone out or make a career move, timing Firefly’s Ultimate can mean the difference between a swift victory and a hard-fought battle.
But let’s not forget about the fun side of things. If you thought dating was challenging, try coordinating your team’s abilities with Firefly! It’s like trying to conduct an orchestra where everyone needs to play their part at the right time. And if that doesn’t sound stressful enough, just imagine trying to do it all while dealing with a stubborn cat who insists on walking across your keyboard!
In all seriousness though, Firefly is a character that requires patience and strategy to master. But once you get the hang of it, she can clear even the toughest content with ease. So, if you’re looking for a challenge and want to add a little fire (pun intended) to your gameplay, give Firefly a try! Just remember to keep an eye on that pesky cat… or maybe he could be your secret weapon? After all, every great team needs a mascot!
From the debut of Penacony’s main tale in Honkai: Star Rail, Firefly has consistently been one of the most captivating and eagerly awaited characters. Following the Version 2.3 update, players can control this character once they successfully summon her during the limited-time banner event, and she offers a wealth of abilities.
Firefly is a top-tier character specialized in destruction, with fire being her chosen combat method. Despite summoning the girl from the main story, you’ll primarily control her mechanical form during the Stellaron Hunter battle, known as Sam.
Best Firefly Relics And Planar Ornaments
After acquiring a character in Honkai: Star Rail, the initial action is to thoroughly enhance them using Stagnant Shadow materials, followed by concentrating on their Traces. Once these tasks are completed, it’s essential to prioritize utilizing Trailblaze Power primarily to obtain top-tier Relics and Planar Ornaments for your account.
As a seasoned space explorer with years of experience under my belt, I can tell you that managing resources is crucial in the vast and unforgiving universe. With limited Power at your disposal, you wouldn’t want to fritter it away on upgrading the wrong gear. From my own adventures building a Firefly-like ship, here are some of the top gear recommendations that I can share with you:
Gear Type | Name | Synergy With Firefly |
---|---|---|
Relics | Iron Cavalry Against The Scourge |
This Relic set got released to the game alongside Firefly, and it’s also her best in slot. It increases her Break DMG by 16 percent while also allowing her to ignore a whopping 25 percent DEF while attacking an enemy. To trigger this effect, you’ll need to build at least a 250 percent Break Effect on her, but this counts the Break Effect that you get from other sources during the battle. |
Thief Of Shooting Meteor | This starter Relic set is your only other choice if you can’t farm for the Iron Cavalry set just yet. It gives you up to 32 percent Break Effect while also regenerating some Energy when you break an enemy’s weakness. | |
Planar Ornaments | Forge Of The Kalpagni Lantern |
Once again, the Planar Ornament set released alongside Firefly is her best in slot for clear reasons. It gives her some extra SPD while also increasing her Break Effect by a whopping 40 percent. You simply have to attack an enemy with Fire Weakness to get the Break Effect, which is already a necessity for Firefly. |
Talia: Kingdom Of Banditry | This set can give you up to 36 percent Break Effect as long as you have 145 SPD, which is quite easy to get with Firefly. However, it’s difficult to farm and gives far less value than her best in slot. |
Firefly Relic Stat Priority
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve come to find that when it comes to Firefly, a popular DPS character, the stats you need for her Relics differ significantly from those required for most DPS units. From my personal observations, prioritizing certain attributes can make all the difference in optimizing her performance.
Gear Type | Main Stat Priority | Sub Stat Priority |
---|---|---|
Head | HP | Break Effect > SPD > ATK Percent |
Hands | ATK | Break Effect > SPD > ATK Percent |
Body | ATK Percent | Break Effect > SPD |
Feet | SPD | Break Effect > ATK Percent |
Planar Sphere | ATK Percent | Break Effect > SPD |
Link Rope | Break Effect | SPD > ATK Percent |
In Firefly, it’s generally unnecessary to focus on building Critical Strike (Crit) since the character doesn’t dish out a significant amount of personal damage, even when fully upgraded.
It’s best to aim for a Break Effect on Firefly of at least 360%, because that’s the highest multiplier that factors into her abilities. Additionally, it’s advisable to have a minimum speed (SPD) of around 150 without any additional SPD boosts to secure multiple turns during her Ultimate skill.
Best Firefly Light Cones
One crucial aspect when constructing Firefly involves selecting an ideal Light Cone for her. While there are several options available for this purpose, many Light Cones fail to match her perfectly because of her distinctive kit.
Rank | Name | Synergy |
---|---|---|
1 | Whereabouts Should Dreams Rest | It’s no surprise that Firefly’s signature Light Cone works the best for her. Apart from a massive 60 percent Break Effect, this also increases the Break DMG taken by enemies while decreasing their SPD. |
2 | On The Fall Of An Aeon | With this F2P-friendly Light Cone, you can get an ATK boost of up to 64 percent with maximum Refinements. While this ATK bonus doesn’t directly benefit Firefly, it does get converted to your Break Effect after a certain point. |
3 | The Moles Welcome You | The reason to use this Light Cone is similar to the one above. ATK Percent is one of the important stats on Firefly as it gets converted into Break Effect after you have over 1,800. |
4 | Flames Afar | This is another F2P-friendly Light Cone that can be decent for her as it lets her stay at a relatively higher health while increasing her DMG. |
Firefly Traces Overview And Priority
Before you begin upgrading anything related to Firefly, it’s crucial to comprehend her functions as this DPS unit operates differently compared to others. You won’t observe her dealing substantial damage when activating her abilities because the majority of her damage is tied to the enemies’ Weakness being shattered first.
Here are the main points that’ll help you understand her kit:
- Firefly can apply Fire weakness to enemies using her Technique, which applies it to all the enemies in each wave, or the enhanced Skill, which only applies it to one enemy with each trigger.
- Firefly’s Ultimate puts her in an enhanced state for a certain amount of time (the timer can be seen on the action bar), and she deals extra damage during this state based on her Break Effect.
- When you hit Weakness Broken enemies with her enhanced abilities, she instantly triggers an instant of Super Break DMG dealing up to 50 percent of her Break DMG on each enemy hit.
- During the enhanced state, Firefly can reduce the Toughness of enemies even when they don’t have the Fire weakness. However, this only reduces 55 percent of the original Toughness amount.
It’s likely clear to you that Firefly’s damage output from the Main Attack mostly depends on exploiting the weaknesses of her enemies. Given this, it would be strategically advantageous to prioritize upgrading her Ultimate ability first, as it not only enhances her Speed but also boosts her Break Damage. Although the Speed increase may seem slight with each level, it’s more substantial than you might initially assume.
After that, I can enhance her ability, then her special trait. Upgrading her skill boosts the energy I gain with each regular move, while her talent lessens the damage I take and increases my resistance to effects. If I’m consistently teaming her up with a good shield character like Aventurine, I can choose to skip her talent upgrade.
It’s crucial to gain access to Firefly’s multiple bonus abilities as quickly as possible, because key aspects of her playstyle are hidden within these bonuses.
Finally, you can also skip Firefly’s Basic Attack upgrades if you want to save some resources.
Pro Tips To Play Firefly
In the overworld, it may seem effortless to conquer all challenges using Firefly. However, to effectively utilize her during endgame content, you’ll need to employ some clever strategies or tactics.
- It’s important to time your Ultimate instead of using it as soon as it’s ready. You can usually get your Ultimate after one attack at the start of battle, but you might have a special buff coming from a different character soon. Wait for this buff and then trigger the Ultimate to get an instant turn.
- If there’s an enemy with their Weakness broken with another one beside it with a bit of Toughness left still, it’s better to focus on the second enemy and make sure they’re also weakness broken in that attack.
- In case your Ultimate ends once before all the enemies are defeated, it’s better to focus Firefly’s normal skill on an enemy that still has a Toughness bar since you don’t deal a lot of damage anyway. If you do this, you can be ready to break their Weakness when your Ultimate is ready again.
- The difference between Firefly when used in an F2P team and when used in her best team is staggering. She can easily clear all the endgame content, so it’s worth going for her best supports like Fugue, Ruan Mei, and Lingsha whenever you can.
