Housewife-Turned-Crime Queen: ‘The Clan Olimpia’ Series Stuns with Zaira Romero’s New Role

In the lead-up to Canneseries, Wild Bunch Television, a subdivision responsible for TV sales and acquisitions under a broad European brand, has added two new series to its lineup: “The Clan Olimpia” and “Single Bells.

Clan Olimpia” is a six-part Spanish crime drama featuring Zaira Romero, a promising talent from the Goya-nominated series “Carmen y Lola.” Set in Spain during 2003, this high-quality show follows Romero’s character, Olimpia, a tranquil housewife whose world is shattered when her husband is diagnosed with cancer. With the responsibility of supporting her family now on her shoulders, Olimpia resorts to a risky yet financially rewarding endeavor: drug trafficking.

The cast is rounded out by other rising Spanish stars such as Fran Berenguer (“Mia Culpa”), and the production companies are Oscar-winning Tornasol Media (“The Secret in Their Eyes”), Loreto y Olimpia AIE, Par Producciones, and Pablo Bossi’s Gloriamundi Producciones.
