House of the Dragon Star Spills Season 3 Death Secrets

One cast member from House of the Dragon is reportedly leaking potential spoilers for season 3, even though it might still be over a year before its release.

As reported on RedanianIntelligence.com, Steve Toussaint, playing the character known as the Sea Snake, Corlys Velaryon, accidentally revealed the cast list for the third episode of the upcoming season during a table read, by sharing an image that included it.

This list nearly encompassed all significant characters, yet there are a few key figures missing, implying that the ominous figure known as The Stranger may return to Westeros. This could lead to dire consequences for both the Greens and the Blacks. Proceed with caution, as spoilers lie ahead!

Don’t fear the Reaper

It seems that Otto Hightower (played by Rhys Ifans) and Jacaerys Velaryon (portrayed by Harry Collett) are absent from the roster, implying that it’s highly probable they have met their demise in the storyline. For those who have read Fire and Blood or followed the House of the Dragon production closely, Jace’s sudden death won’t be a shock.

Reports indicate that Season 3 will kick off with the intense Battle of the Gullet, where House Velaryon’s blockade of King’s Landing is challenged by the Greens. Regrettably for those backing the true queen, despite their efforts, the Greens were unable to prevail – however, they did succeed in taking the lives of Prince Jacearys and his dragon Vermax.

It seems reasonable to assume that Collett’s role on the show may be over since Jace is no longer listed as a character. As for Otto, while he is executed by Rhaenyra in Fire and Blood after the Battle of the Gullet, it’s important to mention that the producers of House of the Dragon have chosen to make some changes in Otto’s narrative.

In the series, his character has been made a captive, which was not part of the original book’s plot. It seems probable that the one who seized the ex-Hand of the King is allegiant to Rhaenyra and plans to present him to her as a gesture, but we can never truly tell? Maybe Otto will find a way to negotiate his escape from the executioner’s stand?

It’s worth mentioning that Aemond Targaryen, another significant character, is not present in episode 3. We suspect he’s preoccupied elsewhere, perhaps brooding and envious of Daemon’s coolness? The same might be said for Otto, but his absence could simply be due to unknown reasons. However, one thing that’s certain is Steve Toussaint should keep his focus on set instead of his phone while at work.
