‘Hot Frosty’ Trailer: Lacey Chabert’s Netflix Christmas Movie Brings a Sexy Snowman to Life and Nods to ‘Mean Girls’

As a seasoned movie buff with a heart for holiday rom-coms and a soft spot for Lacey Chabert, I’m absolutely thrilled about Netflix’s upcoming offering, “Hot Frosty.” The trailer alone has me grinning from ear to ear, and the thought of Lacey Chabert quoting “Mean Girls” is just the icing on the cake.

Some people are worth melting for — especially the hot ones.

In the latest Netflix holiday romantic comedy, “Hot Frosty,” I find myself captivated by Lacey Chabert’s portrayal of a widow named Kathy. In this heartwarming tale, she gives life to an enchanting snowman, played by Dustin Milligan from “Schitt’s Creek.” As he navigates the world with his innocent charm, the snowman helps me, as Kathy, to find laughter, emotion, and love again. We grow fond of each other in this magical season, but there’s a twist—he’ll melt before long.

Towards the end of the trailer, Chabert’s character is depicted watching Lindsay Lohan’s upcoming 2023 Netflix holiday film “Falling for Christmas.” In a wink to their classic 2004 movie “Mean Girls,” she jokes, “That’s quite amusing. It looks remarkably like a girl I attended high school with.

Joe Lo Truglio and Craig Robinson provide plenty of laughs as their police officer characters, while Katy Mixon Greer, Lauren Holly, Chrishell Stause, Sherry Miller, Dan Lett, Matthew Stefiuk, Heleene Lohan Cameron, Allan Royal, Sarah Desouza-Coelho, and Bobby Daniels all join the cast.

Jerry Ciccoritti was at the helm of the movie, with the screenplay penned by Russell Hainline. The production duties were handled by Joel S. Rice and Michael Barbuto, whereas Aren Prupas and Jonas Prupas took on the role of executive producers.

Starting November 13th, Netflix will premiere a heartwarming holiday romantic comedy titled ‘Hot Frosty’. In fact, every Wednesday throughout November, they’ll be releasing a new holiday rom-com! Other upcoming titles include ‘Meet Me Next Christmas’, starring Christina Milian, premiering on Nov. 6th; ‘The Merry Gentlemen’, featuring Chad Michael Murray and Britt Robertson, set for release on Nov. 20th; and lastly, ‘Our Little Secret’ led by Lindsay Lohan, coming out on Nov. 27th.

Besides the cheerful romantic comedies, Netflix’s holiday lineup also features the two NFL games on Christmas Day, the Christmas-themed thriller “Carry On” starring Taron Egerton, the animated movie “That Christmas”, the holiday mystery series “Black Doves” led by Keira Knightley, and Sabrina Carpenter’s special “A Nonsense Christmas”.
