Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered Leaks On ESRB Site

As a long-time fan who’s traversed the post-robot-apocalypse landscapes of Horizon Zero Dawn since its debut on PS4 back in 2017, hearing whispers of an upcoming remastered version has my pulse racing faster than Aloy chasing after a Thunderjaw! The thought of exploring those mesmerizing vistas once more, with the potential for smoother gameplay and breathtaking visuals that a PS5 upgrade would bring, is simply electrifying.

The ESRB rating indicates that a refined version of Horizon Zero Dawn, initially launched for PS4 in 2017 and later adapted for PC in 2020, is being developed for both PS5 and personal computers. This enhanced edition could potentially include updates to gameplay, visuals, and accessibility features, based on speculation that began in 2022, suggesting it would align with the quality of its sequel–Horizon Forbidden West, released in 2023.

The current description outlines the game’s storyline, including elements such as sexual content, fictional substances, and at least one use of strong language. Notably, Horizon Zero Dawn received an update on PS5 in 2021, offering a 60fps performance and 4K resolution. This announcement follows closely after Sony’s confirmation of the November release date for the anticipated PS5 Pro console.

The initial reveal of the PS5 Pro featured Horizon Forbidden West, suggesting that an additional update for Horizon Zero Dawn might be likely from Sony. Moreover, fans of Aloy and the post-robot-apocalyptic world can anticipate Lego Horizon Adventures, a game set to release this year, which presents a more playful take on the series.

There are whispers that Guerrilla is developing a multiplayer title within the Horizon series, which suggests the franchise has plenty of activity happening at the moment.
