Hori Backtracks On Switch 2 Accessory Costs, Prices Plummet

Apart from Nintendo itself, no other manufacturer has unveiled as many official Switch 2 accessory lineups as Hori, a well-known gear producer known for creating some of the most sought-after licensed Switch accessories. When Hori announced their lineup of Switch 2 accessories earlier this month, the prices for certain items were likely higher than what many Nintendo Switch users anticipated. However, most of those high prices have been slashed already. Seven out of Hori’s nine upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 accessories now have new, reduced prices. These new prices are available at Best Buy and Amazon as we speak.

Some discounts are quite significant. For example, the price for the Hori’s Dual USB Playstand has been slashed from $70 to a more affordable $40. Similarly, the Hori USB Camera is now available at $40 instead of its original price of $60. All three of Hori’s Switch 2 carrying cases have seen a decrease in price: Adventure Pack ($35), Puff Pouch ($30), and Compact Carry All Travel Bag ($40) are all now $15 cheaper than before.

Among all accessories, only two have maintained their initial prices – a $10 screen protector and the Piranha Plant Camera, which was introduced early and has been available for pre-order since April. Despite being sold out at several stores, you can still purchase the $60 Piranha Plant Camera from Best Buy and Target.

By May 28th, around half of Hori’s Switch 2 accessories are currently available on Amazon. However, many listings indicate they are temporarily out of stock, suggesting that pre-orders might become active again before the product launch.
