In the update 2.4 of Honkai Star Rail, two fresh 5-star playable characters, Yunli and Jiaoqiu, join the game. The signatures of these 5-star figures will come with a shared rate-up Event Warp Banner during their introduction. Additionally, an updated March 7th version is set to debut in version 2.3.

New Character – Yunli
Swords can be unpredictable at times. To soothe their mood, gently grasp the hilt; they may reveal to you their hidden concerns.
A young woman from Xianzhou Zhuming and the beloved granddaughter of the Flaming Heart General Huaiyan. Straightforward and uncomplicated. Raised by Huaiyan, she honed her skills in swordsmanship and forging since childhood. Consequently, she ranks as the second-youngest prodigious swordmaster within the Flamewheel Octet. Motivated by a deep-seated hatred towards the cursed swords that originate from Zhuming, she has pledged to track down and eliminate every last one of them.
Yunli is a top-tier physical character on the Destruction Path. We were introduced to Yunli for the first time during the 2.1-anniversary board game event. There, we discovered that Jing Yuan attempted to matchmake between Yunli and Yanqing due to their shared characteristics: they are around the same age, enjoy amassing various swords, and have dedicated their lives to mastering swordsmanship since childhood.
In more natural and easier-to-understand terms: She’s the newest character representing Destruction in Version 2.3, succeeding Firefly. Additionally, she ranks as the third physical Destruction Character, following Clara and the Trailblazer.
New Character – Jiaoqiu
I’ve spent my entire life immersed in the world of cooking, and I can’t help but see it as more than just a craft or an art form. For me, cooking is medicine. No matter how many times I stress this point, I find that people often forget.
A healer from Xianzhou Yaoqing, with a background in fox shamanism, also functions as a counselor. He frequently welcomes people with a smile, yet possesses a sly nature. Born into an esteemed Alchemy Commission lineage, he momentarily abandoned his medical pursuits following a heartbreak. However, he re-entered the field to cure “The Merlin’s Claw,” General Feixiao. He is proficient in alchemical recipes that regard food as medication, particularly those provoking a spicy sensation. Together, they developed a medicinal formula based on a nine-grid cauldron.
Jiaoqiu is a top-tier Fire character situated along the Path of Oblivion. Beyond drip marketing, scant information is available about him. Future live streams and updates are expected to reveal additional details.
In the latest update, version 2.1, he emerges as the newest addition to the Nihility roster, succeeding Acheron. He holds the distinction of being the initial five-star Fire Nihility character, surpassing Guinaifen who is only a four-star.
New Character – March 7th (The Hunt)
“Pardon my manners!”
On March 7th, donning the distinctive attire of Xianzhou, there stands a female warrior adept in the art of wielding swords. Her training under the tutelage of Yunli and Yanqing has been rigorous, and she longs to etch more exquisite moments into the annals of Xianzhou’s history.
During the Version 2.3 livestream and Summer Game Fest on March 7th, a new variation of that day was introduced. This alternate version is comparable to the Trailblazer’s ability to change courses. In this specific instance, “The Hunt” path includes a four-star imaginary character.
According to the announcement from the game’s official Twitter account, players can claim March 7th for free by taking part in the upcoming event. During the live broadcast, the instructions on how to obtain her will presumably be shared.
Instead of just introducing the new characters and altering the date to March 7th, Version 2.4 will bring us back to Xianzhou Luofu for the Wardance, a significant event alluded to in the closing moments of the Version 2.3 livestream. We can also anticipate discovering a fresh map, facing new adversaries, and much more.
