Introduction

Honkai: Star Rail Sunday Character Guide

After delving deep into the intricacies of this enigmatic hero known as Sunday, I must say that my admiration for him has grown exponentially. As someone who’s spent countless hours navigating the labyrinthine world of Elysia, I can attest to the fact that Sunday stands out like a beacon in the night sky, guiding those lost souls seeking solace in the realm of combat.

On Sundays, allies and their summoned characters can act instantly, thanks to it serving as a supporting role. Furthermore, Sunday has the ability to restore a portion of a chosen character’s Energy, while also boosting their damage output, critical rate, and critical damage.

Skills Overview

Basic Attack – Gleaming Admonition

Honkai: Star Rail Sunday Character Guide

Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 50%—110% of Sunday’s ATK to one designated enemy.

Skill – Benison of Paper and Rites

Honkai: Star Rail Sunday Character Guide

Allows a specific character and their summon to act instantly, and they deal 15% to 33% more damage. If the target has a summon as well, the damage increase is amplified by an extra 25% to 55%, lasting for two turns.

After employing Skill on The Beatified (a status triggered by Ultimate), you will regain 1 Skill Point.

Ultimate – Ode to Caress and Cicatrix

Honkai: Star Rail Sunday Character Guide

Boosts energy by 20% of maximum energy for a selected ally character, and transforms both the target and their summon into “The Blessed” instead.

The blessed receive an increase in Critical Damage, ranging from 12% to 33.6%, which is equivalent to 12% to 33.6% of the Critical Damage dealt on Sunday, along with an additional boost of 8% to 12.8%.

Every Sunday, at the beginning of each round, the effectiveness of “The Beatified” diminishes by one round, with a maximum duration of 3 rounds. However, it only impacts the most current target of the Ultimate (with the exception of Sunday himself). Once Sunday is defeated, “The Beatified” will no longer be in effect.

Talent – The Sorrowing Body

Honkai: Star Rail Sunday Character Guide

When using Skill, increases the target’s CRIT Rate by 10%—22%, lasting for 3 turn(s).

Technique – The Glorious Mysteries

Honkai: Star Rail Sunday Character Guide

Following the application of this method, when Sunday employs an ability on an allied target during the subsequent engagement, the target’s damage output will be boosted by 50% for a duration of two turns.

Ascension 2 – Rest Day’s Longing

If you’re utilizing Ultimate and the energy regenerated for the target falls below 40, boost the regenerated energy up to 40 units.

Ascension 4 – Exalted Sweep

When battle starts, Sunday regenerates 25 Energy.

Ascension 6 – Haven in Palm

When using Skill, dispels 1 debuff(s) from the target.

TLDR

You can overlook the fundamental abilities of this character since you’ll primarily be utilizing his Skill and Ultimate on Sunday (unless you exhaust your Skill Points). His skill set is straightforward and easy to grasp. Essentially, he resembles Bronya but focuses on DPS units with summons, like future characters from Amphoreus.

1) A Grounded Ascent

When a user activates either Skill or Ultimate ability on a single ally character, they restore 6.0 to 8.0 Energy points. Additionally, the targeted ally receives one “Hymn” buff for three turns, with up to three instances of this buff possible. Each instance of “Hymn” increases the damage dealt by the buffed character by 15% to 24%. Every time the user employs their Skill or Ultimate ability on an ally character twice, they recover one Skill Point.

2) But the Battle Isn’t Over

Boosts the energy recharge speed of the user by 10-18%, and grants a skill point upon use of the user’s ultimate on an ally. This bonus effect can be activated once after every two uses of the user’s ultimate. When the user employs their skill, the following ally (excluding the user) inflicts 30-50% increased damage for one turn.

3) Earthly Escapade

Boosts the wearer’s Critical Damage by 32% to 60%. Initially, the wearer obtains a “Mask” ability that lasts for 3 turns at the start of combat. As long as the wearer possesses “Mask”, their allies see an enhancement in their Critical Rate (10% to 14%) and Critical Damage (28% to 56%). For every Skill Point the wearer recovers, they accrue one stack of “Radiant Flame”. Once the wearer has amassed 4 stacks of “Radiant Flame”, all stacks are discarded, and they receive a fresh “Mask” ability that lasts for 4 turns.

Eidolons

Honkai: Star Rail Sunday Character Guide

Best Eidolons: E1, E2 & E6

Eidolon & EffectReview
E1: Millennium’s Quietus ⭐When Sunday uses Skill, the target character can ignore 16% of enemy target’s DEF to deal DMG and their summon can ignore 40% of enemy target’s DEF to deal DMG, lasting for 2 turn(s).A great Eidolon for all summon DPS while also remain useful for any other DPS.
But getting his Lightcone is better than E1.
E0S1 > E1S0
E2: Faith Outstrips Frailty ⭐After the first use of Ultimate, recovers 2 Skill Point(s). The DMG dealt by “The Beatified” increases by 30%.Additional damage from the Main DPS which is always welcomed. A good place to stop if you’re spending to get his Eidolon.
E3: Hermitage of ThornsUltimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
Increase the Talent’s Level.
E4: Sculpture’s PreambleWhen the turn starts, regenerates 8 Energy. It seems decent, but you can already get 100% uptime of this Ultimate with enough ERR and his Light Cone.
E5: Paper Raft in Silver BaySkill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
Increase the Talent’s Level.
E6: Dawn of Sidereal Cacophony ⭐The Talent’s CRIT Rate boost effect becomes stackable up to 3 time(s), and the Talent’s duration increases by 1 turn(s). When Sunday uses Ultimate, can also apply the Talent’s CRIT Rate boost effect to the target. When the Talent’s CRIT Rate boost takes effect and the target’s CRIT Rate exceeds 100%, every 1% of excess CRIT Rate increases CRIT DMG by 2%.The effect of the Talent (Crit Rate bonus) can be stacked 3 times, which is equivalent to increasing the value by 3 times. If the Crit Rate of said target overflows, it will also convered to CRIT DMG, not wasting the Crit Rate.
