As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest Honkai: Star Rail livestream has left me absolutely thrilled! The HoYoverse development team taking over for the English cast and providing an in-depth look at Version 3.0’s updates is a game-changer, to say the least.
I can still remember the days when I first started playing Honkai Impact 3rd, and now, we’re venturing into new worlds on the Astral Express! Amphoreus, with its influences from Ancient Greece, is shaping up to be an exciting addition to our journey across the stars. The fact that it will house three Paths instead of one is intriguing, as it breaks the pattern we’ve seen so far in the game.
I’m particularly excited about the new playable characters, Aglaea, Mydei, and Tribbie, especially since Remembrance is a new Path. As a player who enjoys collecting and experimenting with different characters, I can’t wait to see what these new additions bring to the table.
The new March 7th skin, her Preservation Outfit, adds a nice touch to the storyline and makes me hopeful that we’ll see more connections between Honkai Impact 3rd and Star Rail. If they manage to work in a Trojan Trash Can joke, I’ll be over the moon!
The quality of life updates are the cherry on top for this update. Increasing Trailblazer Power and Immersifier maximums, adding a treasure locator, and improving the in-game character building guide will make gameplay smoother and more enjoyable. I’ve had my fair share of frustration trying to find hidden treasures or deciding which Ascension and Relic recommendations to follow for characters, so these improvements are much appreciated!
All in all, I can’t wait for January 15, 2025 (or January 14 for North American players) when we can jump back on the Astral Express and explore Amphoreus. Bring it on, HoYoverse – I’m ready for another adventure!
Oh, and if March really does create a Trojan Trash Can… well, that might just be the best thing I’ve ever seen in a video game!
The latest Honkai: Star Rail livestream has revealed that Version 3.0 is set to be the next game update. This time, the HoYoverse development team handled the English commentary, offering a detailed glimpse into the forthcoming modifications. Alongside the main narrative, this update will also incorporate several user-friendly improvements.
As a long-time fan of Honkai Star Rail, I eagerly await the launch of Version 3.0. Given my experience with past updates from HoYoverse, I expect that it will be released in North America on January 14, 2025 at around 10:00pm EST / 7:00pm PST. This update usually goes live in the evening, and I’ve come to rely on this schedule as a way to plan my gaming time.
I can hardly contain my excitement for what’s coming in Version 3.0! With each update, Honkai Star Rail continues to evolve, offering new challenges, characters, and stories that keep me engaged and entertained. I have no doubt that this next version will be no exception.

Amphoreus – The Eternal Land
In the Astral Express’s voyage through the cosmos, Amphoreus will be the fifth destination we encounter, after our initial stop at Herta Space Station. Each planet on this journey has a unique cultural path: Jarilo-VI follows the path of preservation, Xianzhou Luofu adheres to the path of hunting, and Penacony abides by the path of harmony.
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Amphoreus, this intriguing game world, is unlike any other I’ve encountered. The three paths it offers – Erudition and Remembrance, which I’ve dabbled in, and a third one yet to be revealed – hold a captivating allure. From my journey thus far, I can tell that the Path of Remembrance will be my next destination, as it calls out to the Trailblazer within me. However, the mystery surrounding the final path in Amphoreus still lingers, whispering tales of undiscovered challenges and hidden treasures. I can’t wait to unravel its secrets!
The world we know largely borrows from Ancient Greece, with a hint of Ancient Rome too. If the Astral Express team selects Amphoreus as their next stop, players will earn an achievement named “Tell Me, O Muse“. This phrase is taken from Homer’s epic poem, “The Odyssey“. Homer, famously known for his works, wrote both “The Iliad ” and “The Odyssey“, which are set during and after the Trojan War. Perhaps the Pioneer might invent a trash can inspired by Troy…
Playable Characters
During the course of the storyline, the Trailblazer gains access to two fresh paths: one called “Remembrance” and another called “Ice”. However, at present, no playable characters are associated with the Path of Remembrance. Consequently, the introduction of this new path means that there will be novel options for Path Resonance to explore.
As a long-time fan of this game, I’ve seen countless characters join the roster over the years. However, the recent livestream revealed three new 5-Star additions that have piqued my interest: Aglaea, Mydei, and Tribbie. While Remembrance is a fresh face in the game, it remains unclear what kind of character Aglaea will embody. Nonetheless, based on Mydei and Tribbie’s Paths and Elements, I can make an educated guess that Mydei will likely be a powerful Main DPS/DoT, while Tribbie seems poised to serve as a party buffer. I’m eagerly awaiting more information about these new characters, as they could potentially become valuable additions to my team.
New March 7th Skin
It’s highly probable that March 7th’s role in the story and her amnesia will be central from March 7th onwards. This is supported by the unveiling of the new March 7th skin, dubbed the “Preservation Outfit”. All players will have access to this skin when Version 3.0 launches. Given that March 7th once walked the Path of Preservation, her outfit’s name suggests she may be making a comeback.
It’s likely that Void Archives will show up too, given they were part of the Astral Express team when they freed March from her icy prison. Notably, Void Archives and Welt Yang hail from Honkai Impact 3rd. With additional information, it has been verified by HoYoverse that these characters carry over to Honkai: Star Rail, thereby linking both games together.
Quality of Life Updates
In Version 3.0, you can anticipate three significant enhancements that boost your quality of life. Initially, the maximum limits for Trailblazer Power and Immersifier are being raised. The Trailblazer Power is going up from 240 to 300, while the Immersifier will be bumped up from 8 to 12. At this moment, the reserve for Trailblazer Power remains at 2400.
Afterward, players can utilize a tool called a Treasure Tracker. This handy feature allows players to see and pinpoint treasures within a particular map visually. At present, every map features a Treasure Count that shows the exact _amount_ of treasure chests hidden inside it.
Ultimately, we can expect enhancements to our in-game character development manual. From what was shown during the live broadcast, it appears that these improvements will largely concentrate on providing better suggestions for Ascension and Relics when customizing characters.
