Summary
- The developers of Honkai: Star Rail will buff characters from the standard banner before limited ones.
- HoYoverse recently announced that it would buff older characters to readjust the current meta.
A recent leak about Honkai: Star Rail has shown that characters from the standard banner will be the first to receive improvements in upcoming updates. When version 3.0 of Honkai: Star Rail is released, the game’s strategy (meta) has been significantly impacted by newer characters. However, developers are planning to address the balance of older units more quickly than later on.
In the game Honkai: Star Rail, there are 64 playable characters, including alternate Path variants of some characters such as March 7th and the Trailblazer. Initially, units like Inmibitor Lunae and Jingliu were highly regarded for their damage output in the early stages of the game. However, most of the top DPS (Damage Per Second) characters in Honkai: Star Rail have been introduced starting from Version 2.0 and beyond. The developers have acknowledged this imbalance and hinted at potential solutions. Recently, a rumor has surfaced suggesting that some characters might undergo changes before others.
According to GalaxyLeak’s latest findings, it appears that characters from the regular banner will receive enhancements prior to those from the limited banner. This news follows HoYoverse’s confirmation that older characters in Honkai: Star Rail will soon receive significant boosts. Characters like Bronya and Gepard, who are part of the regular banner, remain valuable combat supporters. However, players have been requesting improvements for high-tier limited characters such as Seele and Blade too. The regular banner consists of seven characters, and players might have obtained some of them due to a losing streak in a limited banner. Given this, the developers may prioritize buffing these units because of this very reason.
Honkai: Star Rail Leak Reveals Standard Characters Are Getting Buffed First
Star Rail,” 3.1, is anticipated to be released in late February, with its special livestream set for February 14.
In the world of live-service games, it’s no secret that newer characters often outshine their older counterparts due to the constant influx of tougher enemies and challenges. Take Honkai: Star Rail for instance, with the introduction of the Remembrance path, we can expect a shakeup in the game’s strategy. Speaking from experience as a player, Aglaea, one of the newer characters, has shown herself to be an exceptional DPS carry unit, leaving quite an impact on the battlefield.
