Honkai: Star Rail Is Gearing Up for Its Next Big Stop On Version 4.0, ‘No Aha at Full Moon’

Get ready, Trailblazers! We’re nearing the launch of Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0, which means a new adventure in Planarcadia is almost here! After enjoying the conclusion to Amphoreus’ story and a peek at Penacony, HoYoverse is celebrating the update with some fantastic freebies, including a 5-star character and a new outfit for a popular support character, plus even more rewards!

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 Launches on February 13

HoYoverse just unveiled the details for Version 4.0 of Honkai: Star Rail, called “No Aha at Full Moon.” The update will take players to the world of Planarcadia to compete in the Phantasmoon Games, with the chance to briefly become an Aeon. This time around, the focus shifts from the Remembrance and other Paths to the Path of Elation, impacting both the story and how the game is played.

Path of Elation centers around building up “Punchline” to achieve an “Aha Moment,” which then boosts a character’s abilities. To introduce this new Path, we’re releasing two new characters, starting with Yao Guang. She uses the Physical element and focuses on both healing allies by restoring their skill points and dealing damage to enemies. Following her, we’ll have Sparxie, a 5-Star Elation character who uses the Fire element. Unlike Yao Guang, Sparxie enhances the team’s damage output by consuming skill points during Aha Instant.

For the first part of the event, Black Swan, Evernight, and Hysilens will team up with Yao Guang. Then, for the second part, Sparkle, Cerydra, and Rappa will join Sparxie. Both Black Swan and Sparkle will receive improvements to their combat abilities, making them even better at dealing damage over time and benefiting teams that use the Elation mechanic.

In the upcoming update for Honkai: Star Rail, Ruan Mei will receive a new outfit at no cost. Players will also be able to claim a free 5-star character, with options including Jing Yuan, Kafka, Imbibitor Lunae, Jingliu, Sparkle, Acheron, and Aventurine. Version 4.0 will also include 1,600 Stellar Jade, the first outfit for the Traveler, and other accessories.

We’re also planning updates to existing games! Currency Wars will receive its first expansion, and Divergent Universe will get even more content. Plus, we’ll be hosting a variety of events throughout this version – everything from quick, action-packed battles to more relaxed, everyday-life scenarios.

We’re thrilled to hear the next chapter in the Trailblazer’s journey is almost here! Now, we just need to finish up everything in Amphoreus and Penacony before getting ready for Planarcadia, which promises to be another year of exciting adventures aboard the Astral Express.
