As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the upcoming roster of characters in Honkai: Star Rail is nothing short of intriguing. The world-building and integration of Greek mythology in this game has me absolutely captivated.

The upcoming January release marks the arrival of Version 3.0 for “Honkai: Star Rail”. This latest update will bring forth an array of fresh characters hailing from the world of Amphoreus. While some details about these new characters have been disclosed by “Honkai: Star Rail”, many are yet to receive a formal or official introduction.

Today, it’s well-known that HoYoverse games often experience leaks, and Honkai: Star Rail is no different. It’s possible that additional Amphoreus characters may be introduced, but as of now, these are the leaked and confirmed characters for Version 3.0.

Amphoreus Characters With the Most Information

Amphoreus is a realm deeply rooted in Greek mythology, evident in its name and layout. Its characters follow suit, with numerous figures bearing names inspired by Greek mythological characters or originating from Greece itself. Many of these characters already boast officially-released artwork from Honkai: Star Rail, although only a few have been publicly unveiled so far.

Aglaea

Aglaea is among the first and currently one of the few officially confirmed characters from Honkai: Star Rail. This announcement was made through a post on the official X account (previously known as Twitter) belonging to Star Rail. While it’s thought that all Amphoreus characters might be playable, Aglaea is one of the few in this update who has been officially confirmed.

In the upcoming Version 3.0 of Honkai: Star Rail, players will encounter Aglaea, often referred to as the Goldweaver. This character tenderly weaves golden threads that bind destinies together. The announcement further reveals that she is capable of summoning heroes from Amphoreus and guiding them on a new, infinite voyage. As a representative of the Chrysos Heirs, Aglaea has been entrusted with the mission to retrieve the gods’ Coreflames residing within Amphoreus. Stat-wise, Aglaea is a 5-star character belonging to the Lightning class and following the Path of Remembrance.

Tribbie

In the latest “Amphoreus’ Saga of Heroes” trailer, Honkai: Star Rail playfully mocks Tribbie. The character portrayed as a three-doored traveler in this teaser is reminiscent of Tribbie, and the number three is symbolically important in Greek mythology, potentially alluding to the goddess Hecate or the winged messenger Hermes.

Despite no formal character details being revealed beyond a line from the trailer, unofficial leaks could potentially provide players with some clues about the character. Notably, a well-known Star Rail leaker called Seele Leaks claims that Tribbie is likely to be one of the two 5-star banner units in Version 3.1. Furthermore, another leaker, Uncle Guoba, suggests that Tribbie might function as a support character by offering defense bonuses to her allies. Moreover, it’s alleged that she will adhere to the Quantum type and follow the Path of Harmony.

Mydeimos

Another teased character is Mydeimos the Undying, also referred to as Mydei. Seele Leaks alleges that he will be the other 5-star banner unit added to Honkai: Star Rail version 3.1. Mydei is depicted in the teaser trailer in front of a burning area with a red lion floating above him. Uncle Guoba alleges that Mydei’s Skill has a unique mechanic that resembles “Curio” from Divergent Universe and that he can also consume HP. These features seem perfectly designed for his supposed character type and path, as leaks also state that Mydeimos is an Imaginary type on the Path of Destruction.

Castorice

In the game “Honkai: Star Rail”, Castorice is portrayed in various pieces of art within the X account. Her association with death is evident, as suggested by the artwork’s description, “the River of Souls flows and bestows the touch of death,” a nod to the Greek mythological River Styx.

According to Seele Leaks, it’s been suggested that Castorice will debut in Version 3.2 and may become part of the game. Uncle Guoba speculates that Castorice could generate memo-sprites along with her scythe during battles. If these leaks prove accurate, Castorice might end up on the Path of Remembrance due to her connection with memo-sprites. Additionally, there are whispers that she will be classified as a Quantum character.

Anaxagoras

Star Rail”. Furthermore, rumors spread by Seele Leaks imply that Anaxagoras will be a five-star character with an Ice attribute, following the Path of Nihility. This implies that his gameplay might involve weakening enemies.

Amphoreus Characters Still in the Dark

Hyacine

In the brief moments of the trailer, we catch a glimpse of Hyacine amidst the leaves of a tree. This visual is accompanied by a voiceover speaking about a “priest who separates day from night.” No details concerning her abilities, element, affiliation, or launch date have been revealed yet. However, it’s possible that Hyacine is connected to the Greek mythological figure “Hyacinth,” once loved by Apollo. Tragically killed, he was subsequently transformed into a blooming plant that still carries his name today.

Cifera

As a devoted fan, I’ve noticed that swift-footed Cifera, also recognized as Cipher, makes an appearance in the sneak peek too. Her equipment promises to match her nickname, with her darting past adversaries in the footage shown. Moreover, the teaser hints that Cifera can manipulate time itself, freezing its flow. Similar to Hyacine, there’s no word yet on what her abilities entail, her element, alignment along a path, or when she’ll join us in Honkai: Star Rail.

Phainon

Phainon the Nameless King could be one of the most important characters in the world, considering his regal title. The trailer emphasizes the title Nameless King, who will ascend the throne alongside great heroes to complete deliverance. He joins the list of Amphoreus characters with no details on their kit, element, path alignment, or release date.

Cyrene

A girl allegedly named Cyrene is the last full character depicted in the teaser. Unlike the aforementioned characters, Cyrene is not one of the Chrysos Heirs. She remains an important character from Amphoreus and is speculated to be an NPC. If this role is correct, she may act as a guide for the Astral Express when they arrive at Amphoreus and may be one of the first characters to join Honkai: Star Rail 3.0.

In addition to those already shown, four more character sketches are hinted at in the trailer, depicted as mysterious silhouettes. The video’s details suggest that one of these could be Hysilens. As we get closer to version 3.0 of Honkai: Star Rail, more details about these characters will be unveiled.
