In the upcoming version 3.1 of Honkai: Star Rail, it’s rumored that initial concepts for Tribbie’s kit have leaked. While it was thought she would fit into a specific role within team compositions, it appears her gameplay design might deviate from expectations, potentially requiring an entirely new approach to play her.
Tribbie is one of the newly introduced characters from Amphoreus, known as The Messenger. She belongs to the Chrysos Heirs and is portrayed by a trio of short red-haired girls. Tribbie was hinted at when HoYoverse showcased the Amphoreus characters in Honkai: Star Rail.
In the upcoming Version 3.0, characters such as The Herta, Aglaea, and the Remembrance Trailblazer will be introduced, but there’s no plan to make Tribbie playable during this release. However, due to her distinctive design, many players have speculated that she might become a future playable character. Recently, more details about Tribbie have surfaced, not only suggesting that she will indeed be a playable character in the next update, similar to Mydei in Honkai: Star Rail 3.1, but also providing insights into her potential gameplay mechanics.
Tribbie Is Confirmed For Honkai: Star Rail 3.1
The 5-Star Character Deals Quantum DMG
In the latest update, Version 3.1, it was announced that Tribbie will be a playable character. This announcement was made through promotional materials for the game, Honkai: Star Rail, on their official account (originally Twitter). The image unveiled offers a fresh perspective of the Triplets of Fate or Tribios, and provides additional information about The Messenger. Notably, it’s disclosed that Tribbie can divide herself into various parts, enabling her to embark on a journey. Furthermore, it’s been revealed that Tribbie is the Chrysos Heir who has obtained the Coreflame of Passage from the Titan Janus in Honkai: Star Rail.
In Janusopolis, one of the significant cities in Amphoreus, Tribbie is regarded as the Sacred Maiden. The upcoming character’s task is to serve the people of Amphoreus and strive to dispel the darkness that has enshrouded the world due to the centuries-long struggle between mankind and deities.
It’s been confirmed that Tribbie belongs to the elite 5-star Quantum class on the Path of Harmony, signifying she will likely function as a support in team compositions. She may significantly impact the narrative of Amphoreus within Honkai: Star Rail, potentially acting as an accomplice to the Trailblazer and the Astral Express.
An Early Outline Of Tribbie’s Kit In Honkai: Star Rail 3.1 Has Leaked
The Character’s Abilities Allegedly Scale Off Max HP
Information about Tribbie’s gameplay mechanics hasn’t been officially announced yet, but whispers about her kit have begun to surface, giving us a glimpse into how she might function once she’s launched. The leaked information comes from Shiroha, who posted it on Reddit. According to the leak, in Honkai: Star Rail, Tribbie’s Basic Attack focuses on a single enemy and adjacent targets, inflicting damage proportionate to her Max HP. Moreover, her Skill is said to bestow all allies with a certain percentage of Resistance Penetration against all Elemental Types for a specified duration.
As a diehard fan, I’m excited about the details leaked regarding Tribbie’s Ultimate in Honkai: Star Rail. From what I gather, when activated, Tribbie can absorb a certain amount of Energy and erect a protective barrier. While this barrier is up, any enemy attacked takes extra damage equal to a portion of Tribbie’s Max HP, with the enemy having the highest Health Points (HP) taking the brunt of it.
After setting the barrier, Tribbie unleashes Quantum Damage (DMG) on all enemies present, equivalent to a percentage of her Max HP. Furthermore, through Tribbie’s unique Talent, if an enemy uses their Ultimate, she retaliates by dealing Quantum DMG to all adversaries.
In my excitement as a fan, I can’t help but share some intriguing details about Shiroha’s revelations regarding Tribbie’s hidden Traces. These insights were also circulated on Reddit, and they offer a fascinating look at Tribbie’s alleged passive abilities.
From what we’ve seen in the leak, Tribbie’s first Trace seems to grant a specific Energy restoration at the beginning of each battle.
The second leaked Trace for Tribbie suggests an intriguing boost when the Ultimate’s barrier is active. During this time, Tribbie’s Max HP increases by a percentage of the collective Max HP of all allies in the game Honkai: Star Rail.
Lastly, the third and final leaked passive Trace amplifies Tribbie’s damage after activating the Additional DMG from the Ultimate. This effect can accumulate, creating a stacking effect within the game.
Tribbie May Disrupt Previous Expectations For Honkai: Star Rail 3.1
Despite Being A Harmony Character, She May Be A Damage Dealer
In Honkai: Star Rail, Tribbie was initially anticipated to be a supportive character for her team composition, given that she’s part of the Path of Harmony. However, it appears that she might be taking a more offensive role than traditionally expected for a support unit, potentially doubling as a sub-DPS in certain scenarios. This is due to her abilities scaling with her maximum HP, suggesting a higher damage output compared to other support units in the game.
In comparison, strengthening a character’s Max Health Points (HP) is more straightforward than focusing on Critical Hit stat distribution and achieving high Break Effect levels. Although the exact damage she deals per HP point hasn’t been revealed yet, this stat suggests its potential strength. Moreover, her second leaked passive ability in Honkai: Star Rail, called Trace, holds a significant impact as Tribbie’s Max Health Points increase based on a percentage of the entire team’s combined Max Health Points.
As a result, her extra damage, follow-up attack, and basic attack should all see an enhancement. Given Tribbie’s substantial maximum health pool, this boost could be quite significant. This enhancement becomes even more pronounced when she is teamed up with compatible allies. Characters with high maximum health stats, like Blade or Fu Xuan, can greatly influence Tribbie’s maximum health. Additionally, preliminary information about Mydei’s gameplay in Honkai: Star Rail suggests that he might have over 20,000 maximum health points.
If the rumors about Tribbie’s gameplay kit are accurate, it suggests that she might not function as a support for characters who rely heavily on Max HP. On the contrary, characters with high Max HP could potentially take on a supportive role when it comes to Tribbie in the game Honkai: Star Rail. This is an unusual trait for a Harmony character, as they are typically known for their support capabilities. Although Tribbie might receive a RES PEN buff, she may primarily serve as a secondary damage dealer rather than the typical primary support character.
