As a seasoned gamer with years of adventure under my belt, I must confess, the news about Hollow Knight: Silksong being absent at this week’s Gamescom Opening Night Live has left me feeling like a knight who’s lost his sheath – empty and exposed to the unpredictable winds of the gaming world.
As a long-time fan of Hollow Knight and eagerly awaiting the release of Hollow Knight: Silksong, I was quite disappointed to learn that Team Cherry won’t be revealing any updates or sneak peeks this week. Having followed the development of the game for years and being familiar with the hard work and dedication of the team, I understand that they need time to perfect their creation. However, as a fan, it’s always exciting to catch a glimpse of what’s to come, so I can’t help but feel a twinge of frustration at having to wait just a little longer for more news on Silksong.
Geoff Keighley announced on Twitter that Team Cherry won’t be unveiling Silksong at ONL on Tuesday, explaining they are still working on it. Fans have been reacting humorously to the news as a way of dealing with the disappointment. One fan joked, “So you’re saying there’s a chance for Bloodborne 2,” alluding to the long-standing demand from fans for a sequel or PC/PS5 release of Bloodborne.
