Hideo Kojima Had To Add His Own Easter Eggs To Death Stranding 2

In his newest creation, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Hideo Kojima’s masterpiece has landed on PlayStation 5. As players delve deeper into the game’s intricacies, they might stumble upon a few Easter eggs that were strategically hidden by Kojima himself. Interestingly, Kojima admitted he took a more active role in this process because his team declined to do it initially.

According to Game Spark (through Automaton), Kojima admitted that he inserted those references to his own past. He further explained that when his team was instructed to incorporate self-deprecating jokes, they would feign ignorance.

It’s plausible that Kojima was playfully teasing about his team’s supposed lack of interest in his concepts, but he did indeed disclose the location of one of his Easter eggs. He pointed out that it becomes visible when players take a soak at a hot spring and then gaze upward at the sky before magnifying the stars above.

This autumn, an in-depth documentary titled “The Art of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach” will delve into the intricate process behind Kojima’s new game creation. However, it remains uncertain whether this documentary will feature any Easter egg references. Players have noticed that they can carve roads through the wilderness by consistently following a path. Additionally, enthusiasts have stumbled upon a Death Stranding 2 Birthday Easter egg, which is activated when you play the game on your special day.

Kojima recently admitted that Death Stranding 2 was his toughest project yet, barely escaping cancellation. Although he has concepts for a potential Death Stranding 3, Kojima has hinted that he won’t be the one to develop it.
