Here’s What Destiny 2: Edge Of Fate Expansion’s New Exotic Armor Does

In Destiny 2’s upcoming expansion titled The Edge of Fate, the enigmatic new location Kepler takes center stage. However, developer Bungie is also introducing a wealth of fresh Exotic equipment. To be precise, three brand-new Exotic armor sets are on their way, tailored for each class, and they come with unique abilities to shake up gameplay.

During today’s live stream, Bungie provided an in-depth look at what each new armor piece will offer. For Warlocks, there’s Eunoia, a Solar gauntlet that amplifies the Helion class ability. This means that when the Helion mortar is fired and hits an enemy, it splinters into multiple smaller projectiles that home in on other adversaries. Additionally, Eunoia boasts some appealing visual designs to complement its Solar focus.

2. In second place, Hunters acquire Moirai, a Strand gauntlet that amplifies and merges the impact of the Threaded Spike melee weapon and Tangle ability. Once a Tangle is deployed, Moirai enables Hunters to utilize the Threaded Spike melee to trigger the Tangle explosion and then retrieve it back to the player. Essentially, Bungie describes this gauntlet as enabling “yo-yo” style Tangles.

Ultimately, Titans can now utilize Melas Panoplia, a Solar-powered gauntlet that enhances the Throwing Hammer’s capabilities. By obtaining a Firesprite or executing Solar final blows, Melas Panoplia grants you the ability to transform into a “Forge Master.” This status enables you to return the hammer back to you after throwing it like a boomerang. Moreover, if you time your throw-retrieve sequence correctly, the gauntlet will trigger an explosion and prolong your Forge Master status duration.

At a recent demonstration, I was able to personally test out Eunoia, and I can verify that it significantly enhances the capabilities of the Helion class. Paired with my Prismatic subclass which reinforces the Helion and concentrates on class ability, I noticed an immediate increase in my Solar damage output across wider spaces due to Helion’s latest features.
