Henry Winkler, alongside Lena Headey, has signed on to star with Bob Odenkirk in the forthcoming action film “Normal.” This project is being produced by the team responsible for the successful 2021 release “Nobody.
In “Normal,” Odenkirk’s character, Ulysses, assumes the role of temporary sheriff in the quaint Minnesota town of Normal, inhabited by amiable Midwestern residents. However, an unexpected turn of events occurs when the local bank is robbed, leading Ulysses to stumble upon a much more volatile situation than just a common bank heist, as suggested by the logline.
In the upcoming production, the renowned actor Winkler, best known for his roles in “Happy Days” and “Barry,” will take on the role of the mayor in the fictional town of Normal. Meanwhile, from the popular series “Game of Thrones” and “300,” Headey has been cast as Moira, the town’s beloved bartender.
The movie “Normal” is helmed by Ben Wheatley, known for films like “Free Fire” and “Kill List”. This film is scripted by Derek Kolstad, the mind behind “John Wick”, in collaboration with Bryan Odenkirk. They share a story credit for this project. The producers of this film are Marc Provissiero, Bryan Odenkirk, and Derek Kolstad, who have just completed work on “Nobody 2”.
Filming for the movie titled “Normal” commenced on October 21st and is set to continue in Winnipeg, Canada, until December. Joining the main cast are actors Ryan Allen, Billy MacLellan, Brendan Fletcher, Peter Shinkoda, and Jess McLeod.
The executive producers are Ellen Rutter, Rhonda Baker, and Carrie Wilkins from Bonus Productions Canada, Molly C. Quinn, Matthew M. Welty, and Elan Gale from QWGMire (who provided financing), Matthew Anderson from Aperture, as well as Josh Adler and Glenn Feig.
