The heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, who was 76 years old, passed away recently, only a few weeks following their heartfelt goodbye concert with Black Sabbath at Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5th.
For the grand finale, Ozzy took his seat on a throne alongside Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward in an iconic performance – this was their first joint appearance as the original band members in more than two decades, right here at Ozzy’s hometown stadium.
At the end of the event titled “Back to the Beginning” charity concert, an impressive sum of £140 million was raised for institutions like Parkinson’s research, children’s hospitals, and hospices.
Ozzy Osbourne dies just weeks after final show
According to a statement from the family, Ozzy died “surrounded by love.”
With a heavier heart than any statement could express, we regretfully announce the passing of Ozzy Osbourne this morning. He was in the company of his dear ones and enveloped by affection. At this tender moment, we kindly ask for everyone’s understanding as we cherish our family’s privacy.
As a gamer putting it in my own words,
“It’s with an unimaginable grief that I have to share some heart-wrenching news. My beloved Ozzy Osbourne is no longer with us today. He was surrounded by family and love when he left us. During this tough time, we kindly ask for everyone’s understanding and respect for our privacy.

He is carried on by his wife Sharon, along with his children Aimee, Kelly, Jack, as well as his older children Jessica and Louis, and an extensive international fanbase.
2020 saw Ozzy diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and since 2019, he has been grappling with serious spinal injuries. As a result, he declared this concert would be his last live performance. At the event, he expressed to the audience: “I can’t express in words how I feel—thank you from the very depths of my heart.
Ozzy has made an indelible mark in heavy metal, known for iconic songs such as “Paranoid” and “Crazy Train,” along with shocking stunts like biting a bat. His fame extended beyond the genre when he starred in the popular MTV show The Osbournes.
