The upcoming Hearthstone expansion is titled “Into the Emerald Dream,” delving into the mystical realm that Druids are particularly adept at navigating. Given its focus, it’s not surprising that this expansion leans heavily on the Druid class. For the first time, every class will receive cards incorporating the Druid’s “Choose One” ability, along with other innovative mechanics. Of course, Druids will also gain unique resources, as we are privileged to unveil the new legendary minion Hamuul Runetotem and several of his supportive cards exclusively.
Hamuul Runetotem introduces a fresh ability called Infuse, usable by Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, and Shaman. This ability grants you a unique Hero Power that evolves as you incorporate more Infused cards into your deck. Certain previously unveiled Infused cards activate upon Battlecry or Deathrattle triggers, but Hamuul’s ability activates at the game’s start if your deck exclusively consists of Nature spells. Furthermore, it reapplies the Infuse effect every time you cast two spells during the game, making for a potent advantage in exchange for restricting your spell choices.
With every two Nature spells you cast, the Druid’s Hero Power enhances a summoned 1/1 Plant Golem, making it successively stronger: 2/2, then 3/3, and so forth. This implies that your Plant Golems will grow in size and power, enabling you to consistently summon powerful minions.

Introducing a fresh Druid minion, Dreambound Disciple, that significantly simplifies the process of assembling a troop of Plant Golems. Its unique abilities, both in Battlecry and Deathrattle, reduce your Hero Power’s cost to zero. If you’ve infused it multiple times before playing, this 3-mana 3/3 minion effectively provides you with two additional powerful minions at no extra charge.
Indeed, the significant impact wouldn’t hold much weight without enchantment assistance to amplify your fresh hero ability, and luckily, the Druid class is receiving an abundance of that as well. The Horn of Plenty, being a Nature spell, has the power to uncover another Nature spell, making it sufficient for a complete Imbue all on its own. Reforestation shares similar generosity, allowing you to opt between drawing a spell or minion, or rewarding your restraint by offering both if held for three turns. To top it off, Photosynthesis will aid in keeping you alive by restoring 6 health, while also providing you with three random Druid spells. The drawn spells might not necessarily be Nature spells, but since they’re Druid spells, they have a fairly high probability of contributing to your Imbue effect.

In the expansion “Into the Emerald Dream”, every class will have a unique Wild God legendary card of its own, as well as a Choose One card for Druids that aligns with their flavor. Classes without the Imbue effect, which include Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior, will receive Dark Gifts. These gifts empower their discover minions by granting them additional abilities.
