I’m thrilled to share that HBO has unveiled the trailer for Seth Meyers‘ upcoming comedy special, “Dead Man Waking.” This laugh-out-loud show is set to premiere on both HBO and HBO Max on October 26th. Can’t wait!
As stated in an official summary, Seth Meyers’ debut HBO stand-up special, titled “Seth Meyers: Dad Man Walking,” delves into his personal life experiences. This includes juggling the turmoil of raising three young children, figuring out various communication methods within marriage, and mastering the art of crossing streets in New York City. The show, recorded at The Vic Theatre in Chicago, presents Meyers’ natural conversational style while he shares humorous insights about family dynamics, ancestral legacies, and the endless comedy potential that his children offer.
Neal Brennan takes on the role of the director. The executive producers are Jimmy Fallon, Mike Shoemaker, Tim Sarkes, and John Irwin. Chelsea Alonzi is responsible for production.

Sony Pictures Television recently unveiled a sneak peek of “Goosebumps: The Vanishing,” featuring David Schwimmer in the cast. This upcoming season of the horror anthology series will debut simultaneously on January 10, 2025, on both Disney+ and Hulu.
In summary, “Goosebumps: The Vanishing” starts with twins Cece and Devin Brewer being sent to stay with their father in Gravesend, Brooklyn for the summer. As they soon discover, a dangerous secret lurks within this town. When they uncover these hidden truths, it sets off a chain of events that reveal an intriguing mystery. The siblings, along with their friends Alex, CJ, and Frankie, become embroiled in the eerie story of four missing teenagers from 1994 as they explore the unknown.
Nicholas Stoller, Rob Letterman, and Hilary Winston teamed up to create “Goosebumps: The Vanishing,” with Winston taking on the role of showrunner. This trio, along with Neal H. Moritz, Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman from Scholastic Entertainment, Pavun Shetty, Conor Welch, Erin O’Malley, Karl Frankenfield, and James Eagan, all serve as executive producers for the project.

On Monday, October 28th at 10 p.m., “American Dad!” makes its comeback on TBS. This long-running animated series chronicles the adventures of Stan Smith, a CIA agent, and his eccentric family, as they navigate their unusual life in Langley Falls, Virginia.
This coming season presents the Smith family with a diverse set of hurdles: a daunting effort to conquer Mount Everest, the restoration of the Langley Falls footpath, Roger’s struggle with a puzzling illness, and Klaus encountering a pretender.
In addition to the primary actors such as Seth MacFarlane, Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes, Rachael MacFarlane, Jeff Fischer, Dee Bradley Baker, and Patrick Stewart, we have some special appearances lined up. These include Kevin Bacon, Charles Barkley, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, Gabriel Iglesias, Michael Imperioli, Leslie Jones, Neal McDonough, Joel McHale, and Kyra Sedgwick.
Furthermore, on October 25th, Hollywood Records plans to launch the “American Dad!: Best of Collection” soundtrack. This compilation includes famous tunes sung by the show’s cast during its entire run.
The lively cartoon series, crafted by MacFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman, is manufactured by 20th Television Animation. This production is overseen by co-showrunner Brian Boyle, along with MacFarlane and Weitzman.

DEVELOPMENT/PRODUCTION
Netflix has revealed that Alice Braga, Scoot McNairy, and Paul Ben-Victor will be part of the cast for their upcoming action series “Man on Fire.” This series is inspired by A.J. Quinnell’s book and focuses on Creasy, a retired Special Forces soldier dealing with PTSD, who finds himself pulled back into active duty to safeguard a young child.
In the upcoming production, Braga, famed for “City of God” and “Suicide Squad,” is set to embody Valeria Melo, a skilled driver who has connections with a local criminal group. Meanwhile, McNairy, celebrated for his roles in “Nightbitch” and “A Complete Unknown,” will take on the character of Henry Tappan, a CIA operative stationed in Brazil. Lastly, Ben-Victor, known from “The Wire” and “Pam & Tommy,” will portray Moncrief, the head of the CIA.
Originally declared actors are Yahya Abdul-Mateen II playing John Creasy, Billie Boullet portraying Poe Rayburn, and Bobby Cannavale assuming the role of Paul Rayburn.
The person in charge of the show, both as showrunner and executive producer, is Kyle Killen (known for “Halo” and “Awake”). This eight-episode series will be steered by Steven Caple Jr., director of “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” and “Creed II”. The production companies involved are New Regency Productions and Chernin Entertainment.
