HBO Drops Official Trailer for ‘Industry’ Season 3 (TV News Roundup)

As a seasoned entertainment journalist with over a decade of experience under my belt, I’ve seen the industry evolve at an incredible pace. From the rise and fall of streaming platforms to the comeback kid status of classic TV shows, it’s been an exhilarating journey.

As a passionate fan of thought-provoking dramas, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! Having binge-watched both seasons of “Industry” back-to-back, I can confidently say that this show has been a breath of fresh air in the sea of predictable TV. So imagine my delight when HBO recently dropped the trailer for Season 3!

In the trailer, there’s a hint of an blossoming relationship between Yasmin (played by Abela) and Sir Henry Muck (acted by Kit Harington). It also includes a false accusation of financial misappropriation among other things.

In Season 3 of the financial show, Pierpoint aims to shape the future with ethical investments. Yasmin, Robert, and Eric are thrust into the limelight as they navigate the high-profile Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Lumi, a pioneering green tech energy company helmed by Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington). Meanwhile, Harper, having left Pierpoint behind, longs for the finance world’s exhilarating rush and unexpectedly teams up with Petra Koenig, a portfolio manager at FutureDawn.

In the latest additions to the cast are: Harington, known for his role in “Game of Thrones,” Emmy-nominated Goldberg portraying Petra Koenig, Miriam Petche joining as Sweetpea Golightly, Havill taking on Lord Norton, Barclay becoming Otto Mostyn, Elsayed playing Ali El Mansour, and Fiona Button assumed the role of Denise Oldroyd.

Apple TV+ recently released a trailer for their new four-part documentary series, “Cowboy Cartel.” In this series, we’ll follow an inexperienced FBI agent as he solves the notoriously brutal case of Mexico’s Los Zetas cartel. The cartel had been laundering millions of dollars through the American Quarter Horse racing industry, hiding their ill-gotten gains in plain sight.

The documentary “Cowboy Cartel” includes exclusive interviews with various individuals who played crucial roles in solving the case. These include FBI agent Scott Lawson, IRS agent Steve Pennington, Irving police officers Steve Junker, Brian Schutt, and Kim Williams, Assistant United States Attorney Doug Gardner, Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times journalist Ginger Thompson, and Joe Tone, the writer of “Bones: Brothers, Horses, Cartels, and the Borderland Dream.”

Apple TV+ is where “Bones” series is available, produced by Breaklight Pictures. The executives in charge are Dan Johnstone, Castor Fernandez, Eric Newman, Steve Michaels, and Jodi Flynn. Johnstone and Fernandez take on the director’s role. Joe Tone, author of “Bones: Brothers, Horses, Cartels, and the Borderland Dream,” consults for the production.

The series will premiere on the streamer on Aug 2, and you can watch the trailer here.

As a comedy enthusiast and someone who has followed Taylor Tomlinson’s career with great interest, I am thrilled to share that this fall and next spring, she will be embarking on her new stand-up tour, titled “Save Me.” As a fan, I have come to appreciate Taylor’s unique perspective and her ability to tackle complex topics with humor and vulnerability.

Starting from July 25, between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. local time, you can purchase presale tickets for the tour on Tomlinson’s website. Sales for the general public will begin on July 26 at 10 a.m. local time. The tour includes stops in cities such as Buffalo, N.Y., Des Moines, Iowa, Chicago, and Boston, among others.

Currently, there’s only one female late-night host on network TV, and she’s also the youngest in this role. Her debut show is called “After Midnight” and airs on CBS. In 2023, she went on a comedy tour that was the seventh most successful financially among all comedy tours that year.
