The 2025 movie schedule has indeed fulfilled the expectations set by “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning”. This “symphony of danger” not only provided us with Ethan Hunt’s last impossible mission and stellar performances from stars like Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, Angela Bassett, but also showcased a tightly-knit cast off-screen. So bonded are they that they seem to operate like a well-oiled machine behind the scenes. In fact, it appears everyone is privy to Hayley Atwell’s penchant for on-set theft, and we now have a glimpse into just how peculiar some of the items she pilfers can be.

What’s Been Revealed About Hayley Atwell Stealing From Mission: Impossible Sets?
It’s common for actors to confess to grabbing things from movie or TV productions, especially when they’re about to wrap up a long-running series or franchise. However, it appears that Hayley Atwell, who could soon become a Marvel star, has turned this into something of a regular practice – not just taking items from sets, but also from restaurants and even her co-stars on the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
When promoting the film, the fashionable double train wearer appeared in an intriguing interview with MTV, known as LightsCameraDebate, with her co-star Simon Pegg. It was the long-time Benji Dunn actor who revealed that Atwell is known on set as “Klepto Atwell,” because of her “rampant thievery,” which led to this exchange between the actors and their interviewer, Josh Horowitz:
- Atwell: Don’t judge what you don’t understand. It’s my process. I stole [from set] a salt and pepper shaker, an ashtray, a necklace, a watch, some unclassified documentation that I found in a drawer, some fossils, some fake glass, Tom’s gym socks…
- Horowitz: OK, now we’re getting weird.
- Pegg: Unused, right?
- Atwell: [Looking down and fiddling with some of her jewelry] Well…debatable. That’s questionable. I mean he’s a very clean man.
Amazing! I can’t recall an actor freely confessing to taking as many items from a set as Atwell has done. What strikes me is that none of the objects she mentioned appear to hold any special significance for her. Instead, she rattled off a list of seemingly unimportant things. Was the fake glass a whole item like a drinking glass or just a piece of it that had been broken during filming?
There are numerous questions on the table, and one intriguing rumor yet to be confirmed involves Ms. Atwell, who’s received guidance from Cruise, potentially pilfering the worn gym socks of the action franchise’s main stunt performer. As someone deeply fond of socks, I must admit it never crossed my mind to take another person’s soiled socks, even if they are known for maintaining cleanliness. However, given the circumstances, I truly hope that Ms. Atwell is joking about this, but it’s hard to tell for certain.
If you believe that Atwell confessed only to matters related to “The Final Reckoning” theft, you are in for a surprise. Check out the clip to discover what additional admissions she made: [insert link or reference to the clip]

It’s hard to believe…Did she seriously pick pockets while sitting with Greg Tarzan Davis for interviews, only to later confess that she had stolen from him without his knowledge? If this is true, it seems that Atwell has taken her role as Grace, the thief in the Mission: Impossible series, a bit too seriously. If she ever decides to quit Hollywood, one might guess where her future career could lead.
