Hayden Christensen Returns as Anakin Skywalker for ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2

Hayden Christensen will once again play the part of Anakin Skywalker, who transitioned from a troubled padawan to a Sith ruler, for Season 2 of “Ahsoka.” This news was officially announced by the actor on Friday evening at Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

During a conversation with Rosario Dawson (the series star), Dave Filoni (creator) and Jon Favreau (executive producer), Christensen unexpectedly appeared on stage, joining the three for their discussion. He chose to reveal his upcoming reappearance in the “Star Wars” universe only towards the end of the panel.

In a gathering with Rosario Dawson, Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, Christensen made an unexpected appearance on stage. He decided to keep his return to the “Star Wars” universe a secret until the last minutes of their discussion.

“There’s not much I can share, but Anakin will be back for season two,” Christensen said.

In 2002, Christensen first portrayed Anakin Skywalker in “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones,” and continued this role in its sequel, “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” released in 2005. Later on, he played both Skywalker and Darth Vader in the Disney+ series “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Additionally, he made an appearance in two episodes of “Ahsoka” during its first season.

Filoni clarified, “Anakin’s narrative has already been presented by George. There’s no need for me to supplement it or elaborate on it. What George created stands as is, flawless. The tale I’m weaving revolves around Ahsoka. The presence of Anakin in this story is due to his connection with hers. However, I’m being meticulous in my approach to ensure that I don’t alter or adjust anything that George has established.
