The Collector’s Edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has encountered a significant issue at Microsoft.
The Exclusive Collector’s Version (ECV), priced approximately $259.99 with additional shipping costs, will be accessible exclusively to American players for now. Unfortunately, due to some delays, distribution in other regions like Europe has been postponed, and shipment is expected to start as late as early December.
The game’s launch on the market next Tuesday, November 19th, makes it a significant issue. This means that international players who purchased the Limited Collector’s Edition will need to endure a brief delay before they can begin their gaming experience.
- Microsoft decided to do something about it, but the solution is highly overcomplicated. After contacting the developers, people who purchased the Limited Collector’s Edition will receive a token as compensation, enabling them to unlock a monthly Game Pass subscription. The standard edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be available on this service from the moment of its release, allowing you to play the game from November 19th.
- At the same time, after sharing their username with the devs in Game Pass, players will receive a free Standard to Aviator Upgrade package, allowing them to unlock additional content offered as part of the Limited Collector’s Edition.
Once players receive the LCE (Licence Certificate Email), they should activate the enclosed token for the “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Aviator Edition” to ensure continued access to the game once their Game Pass subscription ends. If they log into the game with the same account upon exchanging a token, all their in-game advancements will be retained.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is coming to PC, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X.
This Exclusive Collector’s Version comes packed with the actual game, a distinctive box, a miniature of the Antonov AN-225 aircraft, a travel case adorned with six emblems, a brooch showcasing the game’s insignia, an artwork, and a heartfelt letter from the creators to the gamers.
