As a long-time fan and follower of Elon Musk’s ventures, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and intrigue at his latest move. The man never ceases to surprise us! His interest in purchasing Hasbro for the rights to Dungeons & Dragons is as unexpected as it is thrilling. I mean, who would have thought that the CEO of Space X and Twitter would one day be linked with a toy company?

On November 29, the share prices for Hasbro surged due to Elon Musk hinting at his intention to buy the company, aiming to acquire the rights to Dungeons & Dragons.

On November 28, the CEO of Space X and Twitter, who is also a billionaire, subtly suggested the possibility of acquiring a toy company, following his disagreement with remarks made by Jason Tondro, the Product Lead at D&D, in the 40th Anniversary ‘Making of D&D’ book.

In 1999, Hasbro obtained the intellectual property (IP) for Dungeons & Dragons when they bought the company that owned the rights, Wizards of the Coast, who are also known for publishing Magic: The Gathering.

In response to additional comments from Tondro, Musk inquired on November 28, “What’s the value of Hasbro?”, hinting at a potential interest in acquiring the multibillion-dollar company. Whether it was genuine or not, the stock price for Hasbro saw an increase following Musk’s post.

Hasbro’s stock shoots up

As a dedicated fan, I couldn’t help but notice an exciting surge in Hasbro’s stock value. Just hours after Elon Musk voiced his thoughts on the company’s worth, on November 29, the share price saw a significant jump of nearly 1.97%. The stock peaked at a staggering $66 per share before closing, marking a notable increase in its value within that short timeframe.

As a fan, I can’t help but notice the coincidence between Elon Musk’s rumored interest in acquiring another global brand and Hasbro’s sudden surge in value. If the world’s richest man were to seriously consider an offer for Hasbro, it wouldn’t be surprising if we saw an even greater increase in its worth.

Hasbro’s share price experienced a sharp increase on November 29.

How likely that outcome would be is anyone’s guess, but Musk isn’t unfamiliar with the hobby.

His passion for Diablo 4 is widely acknowledged, as he ranks 46th on Helltides.com’s worldwide Artificer’s Pit leaderboard for Season 6. On November 20, Musk shared a video of himself defeating level 150 of the Artificer’s Pit in just 1 minute and 52 seconds. If acknowledged by Helltides, this accomplishment would place Musk well ahead of the current frontrunner, Resistance, whose time is currently 1 minute and 59 seconds.
