Harvey Weinstein Interviewed by Candace Owens From Prison: Defamed Producer Claims He Was ‘Wrongfully Convicted’ and Attacks Accusations From Gwyneth Paltrow and Rose McGowan

In an on-camera interview conducted from prison, Harvey Weinstein, who has been accused by numerous Hollywood figures, sat down with conservative political commentator Candace Owens. During this tell-all session, Weinstein continued to proclaim his innocence and refute the accusations against him.

In the initial part of the interview, Weinstein maintains that he was unfairly punished, specifically referring to being twice found guilty of sexual offenses: First in 2020 for a first-degree criminal sexual act and third-degree rape, and later in 2022 for rape. His 2020 conviction was overturned in 2024 due to the trial judge permitting testimony about accusations not pertinent to the case, which Weinstein frequently mentions as a sign of his innocence. He characterizes his actions as errors rather than crimes and insists he has never acted illegally.

I’ve caused pain to my loved ones, betrayed friends, and been unfaithful to my spouse – actions I deeply regret as they were enormous mistakes,” Weinstein admitted. “However, I maintain that I did not perpetrate these crimes. I solemnly swear this on my faith, in the presence of those watching now, and for the sake of my family.

He claims his infidelity stemmed from the stresses of his job. “Admitting I wasn’t a great boss,” he says, “I was harsh and demanding, and I acknowledge I should have been more skillful in that role, but I fell short. I had a hot temper. You understand, I just should have managed myself better. The pressures from my job served as an excuse for my unfaithfulness.

Later on, Owens urged Weinstein to talk about some of his past accusers, including Gwyneth Paltrow. Back in 2017, Paltrow alleged that Weinstein invited her to his hotel room, where he touched her inappropriately and suggested a massage after casting her for the 1996 film “Emma.” However, the imprisoned Weinstein dismissed this claim as a total fabrication. Despite this, he acknowledged that he attempted to make advances, but asserted that he did not physically touch her.

She believed the relationship was harmful. Those who observed their relationship with Paltrow, it ultimately became nothing more than friendship,” Weinstein stated. “There are photos of her embracing me when I was ill and in the hospital, fearing I wouldn’t survive in 1999. At the Golden Globes, Gwyneth said, ‘Bomber, we miss you.’ She stood up and spoke about me without being asked. In her Academy Award speech, she thanked me.

Weinstein claims that his conflict with Paltrow stemmed from his disapproval of the screenplay for “The Secret History,” which she and her brother Jake Paltrow penned, following his acquisition of Donna Tartt’s bestselling novel.

In addition to this, Weinstein also responded to Rose McGowan, who publicly alleged in a shocking New York Times article from 2017 that he had paid her $100,000 to keep quiet about a sexual incident at the Sundance Film Festival. The piece cites a legal document relating to the payment, which specifies that it wasn’t meant as an admission by Weinstein but rather to prevent lawsuits and secure peace.

Weinstein stated that the funds were intended to conceal his infidelity during his marriage with Eve Chilton.

In a candid confession, I find myself admitting that I reached an agreement with the talented actress Rose McGowan. For a sum of $100,000, I asked her, under the condition of strict confidentiality, not to disclose our private dealings – to spare me the potential trouble that might ensue if my wife were to learn about this transaction.

Since his dramatic downfall from the ranks of Hollywood aristocracy, Weinstein informs a compassionate Owen that he’s been assisting certain contacts in creating their movies while being incarcerated.

Weinstein stated that he has contacts within the field who share their screenplays with him and ask for his feedback. Essentially, he’s asking if there’s something he can do to assist or enhance their work. He simply provides his genuine opinions. In other words, he’s not benefiting himself, but rather helping others.

At this moment, Weinstein is being tried in New York for allegations that include two instances of “sexual act in the first degree classified as a crime” and one instance of “third-degree rape.” These charges originate from accusations made by former model Kaja Sokola, former TV production assistant Miriam Haley, and actress Jessica Mann.

The Owens-Weinstein interview will debut on YouTube this coming Tuesday, however, it’s already available for viewing if you have a subscription to Owen’s premium service.
