Harvey Keitel, Britt Robertson Team for Comedy-Drama ‘The Letter’ From Director Rodrigo H. Vila (EXCLUSIVE)

As a seasoned film enthusiast with over three decades of cinema-watching under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming comedy-drama “The Letter,” starring Harvey Keitel and Britt Robertson, has piqued my interest significantly. Having grown up on classics like “Reservoir Dogs,” “Taxi Driver,” and “Mean Streets,” it’s a joy to see Keitel back in action, especially when the role seems tailored for his unique talents.

Harvey Keitel and Britt Robertson are working together on the comedy-drama “The Letter,” which is currently wrapping up production in Buenos Aires, with Rodrigo H. Vila serving as director.

Under the direction of Vila and Sebastián Meschengieser, with additional script input from Andy Weiss, the movie centers around Finn (Keitel), a war veteran nearing the end of his life, who yearns to pen a farewell letter to his sole daughter. In a bid for financial assistance, he recruits struggling writer Julia (Robertson). As they both grapple with their individual sense of displacement, an unexpected and heartwarming friendship develops between them, ultimately reshaping the course of each character’s life.

“In their second joint effort, Vila (writer, director, and producer) and Keitel are reuniting for a new project titled ‘The Letter.’ They previously teamed up for the 2019 sci-fi suspense film, ‘The Last Man.'”

As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’ve collaborated with Harvey in our filmmaking journey before, and we’ve made a pact to join forces once more. The upcoming project, tailored uniquely for him, has the power to become a modest masterpiece that stirs emotions, brings laughter, sheds tears, and provokes thoughtful introspection on life’s subtle yet profound moments – those that truly matter.

The movie was created by Argentine production houses Cinema 7 Films and Non Stop Studios, with Dalila Zaritzki and Colette Aguilar (“Marlowe”) serving as executive producers. Aguilar is also the CEO of Moonrise, a Madrid-based company specializing in English films, who are handling global sales for this particular film.

“Aguilar expressed his enthusiasm about the ongoing partnership with Cinema 7 Films, stating that they were captivated right away by the script’s enchanting storyline and emotional depth. Boasting a stellar cast, this movie is sure to strike a chord with viewers of all ages. We are eagerly anticipating its release on a global scale.”

As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’m excited to share that the upcoming film I’m looking forward to is co-produced by Argentina and financed privately. This unique project has executive producers such as Screen Capital, Chris D’Cruz, Monica Ruffo, and Aristotle Andulakis on board, which only adds to my anticipation!

Keitel, a multiple award-winner including an Oscar nomination and Golden Globe win, has made a name for himself in iconic films like “Reservoir Dogs,” “Taxi Driver,” and “Mean Streets.” Most recently, he appeared on the Peacock drama series “The Tattooist of Auschwitz.” Represented by Twelve Entertainment and Untitled Entertainment, his upcoming projects include “The Merry Gentleman” alongside Chad Michael Murray.
