Harry Potter actress said kiss with Daniel Radcliffe was “terrible,” but it wasn’t Emma Watson

As a devoted fan, I must say that despite the Harry Potter movie franchise not centering around romantic relationships, it still managed to evoke a myriad of feelings through memorable kisses and emotional bonds. The actors themselves weren’t immune to these sentiments either. From Emma Watson’s own words, kissing Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint was an “awkward” experience for her, given that they were long-time co-stars on the Harry Potter film set.

In a different vein, Watson confessed that working with Radcliffe in those particular scenes was “quite pleasant” for her and she found it “enjoyable.” Similarly, Katie Leung, who portrayed Cho Cheng, had no issues and went as far as to say in a behind-the-scenes video from the set of The Order of the Phoenix that Radcliffe is an “excellent kisser.” Contrastingly, Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley – Potter’s beloved – held a contrasting viewpoint.

Looking back on her kiss with Radcliffe, Wright admitted it fell short of her expectations, describing it as “not great.” This straightforward statement suggests that she may have hoped for a more magical experience between Ginny and the well-known wizard, but unfortunately, it lacked the expected sparkle.

A more gentle phrasing could be: Wright spoke some strong words. While Harry Potter’s kisses might not win over everyone, it’s undeniable that he is an exceptionally skilled wizard and single-handedly vanquished Lord Voldemort, saving everyone in the process. Therefore, some aspects of him can be overlooked.

Bonnie Wright, despite her earlier comments that it was “terrible” and “really bad,” later clarified that she was merely joking with Katie Leung, implying that fans of the Boy Who Lived character can relax entirely.
