Harrison Ford Steps Down as Oscar Presenter Amid Shingles Diagnosis

On Friday, February 28th, it was reported by Entertainment Weekly that Harrison Ford had to withdraw from the Oscars ceremony on Sunday due to being diagnosed with Shingles. According to reports, the actor from “Shrinking” is currently doing well and taking rest following his diagnosis. He informed the Academy this morning that he would not be able to attend. Although Ford wasn’t nominated for this year’s show, he has been quite active recently, making Jessica Williams laugh during her speech at the SAG awards about why she decided to become an actor. No announcement has been made yet regarding who will replace Ford or with whom he was supposed to present. However, if Williams is available as a replacement, it might be easier for her to speak without her usual distraction.
