Hans Zimmer isn’t planning to work on another superhero film for a while. After his work on “Batman v Superman,” he announced that he was stepping back from scoring superhero movies, and he has since reaffirmed this decision in a recent interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast.
Take a look, I’ve completed the set – Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, and Wonder Woman,” Zimmer stated. “To be honest, if you’re asking if I might take on some lesser characters, well, it’s likely.” When inquired about any potential collaboration with Marvel, Zimmer admitted they had reached out but he declined the offer.
In this version, I aimed to keep the original meaning and flow while using simpler, more common phrases and rephrasing a few sentences for clarity and easier understanding.
He acknowledged that the timing wasn’t ideal and confessed that he had other priorities at the moment. To be frank, his previous statement seemed quite arrogant. When I complained, Kevin Feige responded, ‘Hans, what are you whining about?'”

Although Hans Zimmer isn’t planning to work on the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon, he has previously composed music for several superhero films, but these were part of the DC Universe. Some of his notable works in this genre include “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” “Man of Steel,” and “Wonder Woman 1984.
In the past, Zimmer has created music for Marvel superheroes, notably “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” from 2014 and “Dark Phoenix” in 2019. Interestingly, these movies were distributed by Sony and 20th Century Fox, not Marvel Studios. However, characters like the X-Men and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man have been incorporated into the Marvel universe through multiverse narratives, despite not being original MCU entries.
