Halo Infinite Players Party Like Its 2007 With Fan-Favorite Maps From Halo 3

This month, the creators of Halo Infinite have been looking back to the franchise’s rich history by reviving the beloved team game, Grifball, reminiscent of football. Now, they’re delving even further into the past by re-introducing fan-favorite maps from Halo 3, as demonstrated in the trailer below. It feels like a throwback to 2007!

Halo Studios has revealed the Delta Arena from Infinite, a playlist reminiscent of Halo 3. Here you’ll find classic maps that longtime players will recognize. For your convenience, here’s the whole collection of maps inspired by Halo 3:

[Maps List]

  • Isolation
  • Snowbound
  • Guardian
  • Narrows
  • Construct
  • Ghost Town
  • Bookmark
  • Cold Storage
  • Foundry
  • The Pit
  • High Ground

Furthermore, the Ivory Tower from Halo 2 has been rebuilt within Halo Infinite’s Forge. To maintain a nostalgic atmosphere for these maps, sprinting and clambering have been deactivated, friendly player collisions are now active again, jump height is boosted, and every player begins with either an MA5K Avenger or BR75 Battle Rifle.

The event is ending on July 8th, so take advantage of these timeless map layouts before they’re gone. Not too long ago, Halo Infinite brought back the cooperative mode Firefight Classic and more recently added an over-the-top weapon known as the Mutilator.

From a dedicated fan’s perspective, last year, Halo Studios shared their long-term vision for the franchise, hinting that all forthcoming Halo games will be powered by Unreal Engine 5. At the conclusion of Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, Phil Spencer, dropped a tantalizing hint about a possible Halo game in 2026 – a celebration for the 25th anniversary of Xbox. However, as of now, no new Halo installments have been scheduled for release.
