Hallmark+ Streaming App Sets September Launch Date, Will Debut With ‘Chicken Sisters,’ Unscripted Series and More

As a dedicated fan of heartwarming stories and emotional rollercoasters, I am beyond excited about the upcoming launch of Hallmark+! After countless hours spent cozied up with a box of tissues and my favorite Hallmark movies, it’s like a dream come true to have an entire streaming platform dedicated to this genre.

Hallmark+ will launch just in time for the slew of fall TV debuts.

Starting on September 10, the streaming app known as Hallmark Movies Now is getting a new name. At its launch, an original series titled “The Chicken Sisters,” adapted from KJ Dell’Antonia’s New York Times bestseller, will make its debut. From September 12 onwards, fresh episodes of this drama featuring Schuyler Fisk, Genevieve Angelson, Lea Thompson, and Wendie Malick will be released every Thursday.

At its debut, the unscripted show titled “Celebrations with Lacey Chabert” will also be accessible. Lacey Chabert, a well-known figure on Hallmark, serves as the host for this inspiring series consisting of 10 episodes. The series follows Chabert surprising extraordinary individuals with an unforgettable celebration. Fresh installments will air each Thursday.

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that starting September 10th, Hallmark+ is premiering the enchanting “Love on the Danube” trilogy! The first installment, titled “Love Song,” will feature Nazneen Contractor and Wes Brown. Fast forward to September 19th for the second movie, “Royal Getaway,” starring Jessica Sipos and Dan Jeannotte. Last but not least, the third movie, “Kissing Stars,” with Sarah Power and Brendan Penny, will be released on September 26th. Can’t wait to immerse myself in this romantic journey along the beautiful Danube!

Throughout the entire month, there will be more debuts on the app. Among them are three fresh episodes of the beloved series “The Jane Mysteries,” featuring Jodie Sweetin and Stephen Huszar, which will be released on September 10, September 19, and September 26.

On a Wednesday, it was announced that Hallmark Media is launching “Hallmark VIP Movie Pass,” a program hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housley. This exclusive pass offers an intimate look into popular Hallmark films as stars recount personal stories, memorable moments, and behind-the-scenes secrets. The spotlighted movies include “Blind Date Book Club,” “Branching Out,” “The Wedding Veil,” “Curious Caterer: Fatal Vows,” “The Professional Bridesmaid,” “Girlfriendship,” “Notes of Autumn,” “Haul Out the Holly,” “My Christmas Family Tree,” and “The Gift of Peace.”

Hallmark will merge its original series and films with regular discounts and incentives for purchasing at Hallmark retail stores and online on Hallmark.com. Annual ($79.99) and monthly ($7.99) membership plans are offered to customers. The app offers perks such as monthly discount coupons, free greeting cards, annual gifts for members, exclusive content, and a host of other advantages.
