For over three decades now, viewers have delightfully watched professional dancers team up with stars from reality TV, sports, and popular TV shows and films on “Dancing with the Stars”. This includes some current and past actors from Hallmark, and as we approach Season 34’s 2025 broadcast schedule, another actor has expressed interest (for a heartwarming reason).
In a recent outing, Victor Webster starred in his fourth Hannah Swensen movie titled “Pie to Die For” on Hallmark Mystery. Here, he and Alison Sweeney danced the tango. Although his co-star grasped the dance steps more swiftly than him initially, Webster shared with EntertainmentNow that he ultimately had a blast. So much so, he expressed interest in participating in “Dancing with the Stars.” However, there’s a deeper motivation behind this enthusiasm. The actor revealed the reason:
I wouldn’t normally consider being on ‘Dancing with the Stars’, as I’m not a fan of reality TV and it seems more like a competition show. However, my goddaughter is really eager for me to appear on the show, almost every month she asks if I’ll go. I can’t simply make it happen just like that, dear. But, if someone asked me to do it for her, I would definitely consider it.
It’s really sweet that Victor Webster, despite being busy with his upcoming Hallmark films, found time to bring joy to his goddaughter Eden. It’s not surprising at all, given that other Hallmark actors have appeared on ABC’s dance competition.

Prior to departing Hallmark for Great American Family, Candace Cameron Bure, Danica McKellar, and Trevor Donovan all participated in the competition Dancing with the Stars. Interestingly, Bure and McKellar were on the same season – Season 18 – with McKellar being eliminated in sixth place, while Bure advanced to third. It’s no surprise that she remains a supporter of the DWTS professionals. On the other hand, Donovan competed in Season 31 and was eliminated in tenth position.
Jesse Metcalf, known for his roles in several Hallmark films and the show “Chesapeake Shores,” took part in Dance Season 29 but didn’t last long; he was eliminated in the fourth week.
It’s quite unexpected that Lacey Chabert, known as the Hallmark queen, hasn’t danced before. Fans were eager to watch her perform on DWTS following her impressive display of dancing with Will Kemp in ‘Christmas Waltz’. In fact, they teamed up again for ‘The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango’, and later shared a dance in ‘A Merry Scottish Christmas’.
While we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Lacey Chabert might eventually respond to “Dancing with the Stars,” in the interim, Victor Webster stands by, eager to join the dance floor! However, it remains uncertain whether he will be participating when the competition resumes this fall. At present, all we know is that Alix Earle and Robert Irwin are confirmed for Season 34 of “DWTS.
In the meantime, before further celebrity announcements, don’t forget to watch Victor Webster in “A Hannah Swensen Mystery: Pie to Die For” and other films available on Hallmark+.
