Hades 2 has been in early access for a little over a year, with Supergiant Games consistently adding new content and improving how the game plays through several large updates since May 2024. They recently announced the official release date and showed off a new trailer during the September Nintendo Direct.
When playing on the Switch 2, Hades 2 will run at a smooth 120 frames per second with 1080p resolution when connected to a TV. In handheld mode, it will run at 1080p resolution with 60 frames per second. A physical copy of the game will be available starting November 20th.
Okay, so I finally jumped into Hades 2, and it’s awesome! It’s Supergiant’s first time making a sequel – they’re the team behind Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre, which I loved. The original Hades was a huge hit when it came out in 2020, and now this one’s in early access as of 2024. It’ll cost you around $30 to play, but honestly, it feels worth it so far.
