The crime drama series directed by Guy Ritchie featuring stars like Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren has officially been titled “MobLand” and is set to debut on Paramount+ on March 30th.
As a movie enthusiast, I eagerly anticipate diving into a new series where I’ll be stepping into the shoes of the charismatic Conrad, the powerful head of an international crime family. This gripping tale will revolve around two warring families in London, whose criminal enterprises span across the globe. In this intriguing narrative, I’ll be playing the role of Harry, a steadfast protector and fixer who will stop at nothing to safeguard one of these powerful families.
In addition to its lead characters, the series “MobLand” features performances by Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Geoff Bell, Daniel Betts, Lisa Dwan, and Emily Barber.
Considerine takes on the role of Kevin Harrigan, who is Conrad’s (Brosnan’s character) son. Froggatt portrays Jan Da Souza, a character who is married to Harry (Hardy). Pulver is cast as Bella Harrigan, the wife of Kevin. Boon is set to play Eddie Harrigan, the rebellious son of Kevin.
Beginning March 30, “MobLand” is set to debut on Paramount+ across the United States, Canada, the U.K., and Australia. A worldwide release is planned for late 2025.
Initially conceived as a one-hour gangster drama titled “The Donovans,” intended to serve as a British spin-off of the Showtime series “Ray Donovan,” the project has since been revamped, becoming an independent series known as “MobLand” with no ties to that franchise.
The show is overseen by a team of executive producers that includes Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, David C. Glasser, Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, Ronan Bennett, Kris Thykier, Ivan Atkinson, Hardy, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin and Bob Yari. It’s created in partnership with MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, and is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
