Gundam Breaker 4 will get Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam from SEED Freedom movie via post-release free update

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for the Gundam franchise, I must say that Bandai Namco’s announcement for Gundam Breaker 4 has left me both excited and somewhat frustrated. The addition of the Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam and the Saviour Gundam is undeniably thrilling news, but the region-lock on the new trailer and the delay in its global release are a bit disheartening.

Bandai Namco has announced additional content for the game, Gundam Breaker 4. They plan to include the ZGMF/a-262PD-P, also known as Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom film, as a new Gunpla kit in a future update. This will be done through a post-launch patch.

In simpler terms, when we talk about the “post-release update” for Mighty Strike Freedom, it indicates that this game won’t be immediately accessible upon its release. Instead, Bandai Namco will share the specific date for this update with the kit included at a later point in time. Until then, they have also announced that the ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam from SEED Destiny will be playable within the game as soon as it launches. This information comes between their initial reveal and the second announcement for the open network test.

Initially, the announcement was featured in a promotional video specifically produced for the game, which also included a tweet on the Japanese X account related to the game. Notably, this trailer is restricted to Japan due to certain reasons and Bandai Namco has not yet released it globally, as of the current moment.

During a live stream hosted by Bandai Namco America, they showcased the game, but unfortunately, they played an older version of the trailer instead of the updated one. Although Bandai Namco did confirm Mighty Strike Freedom on their Southeast Asian account via an official tweet, it failed to include the new trailer that was expected.

Thank you for your fantastic backing so far! As a result of your support, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be adding unexpected Gunpla models as FREE additional content after the launch!

As a longtime fan of the Gundam series, I am thrilled to share that even if you’re not based in Japan, you can still catch a glimpse of the new Gundam Breaker 4 trailer! This latest installment continues the tradition of having characters from the anime promote the game, and this time around, it features Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala from the Gundam SEED sub-series. Having followed these characters’ journey throughout the series, I can only imagine the exciting interactions they will have in this trailer inspired by their original show. I can’t wait to see how the developers have brought these iconic figures to life in the game!

For now, you can check out the latest trailer located right beneath this text. Once Bandai Namco officially releases a worldwide accessible version on their YouTube channels, we’ll make sure to update this article accordingly.
