Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth Returns to Theaters for 20th Anniversary

Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth, a critically acclaimed dark fantasy film that won three Academy Awards, has been ranked among the best movies of the 21st century, landing at number 41 on one list. Set in 1944 Spain after the Civil War, the film follows young Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) and her pregnant mother (Ariadna Gil) as they move to the countryside. There, they join Ofelia’s stepfather, Captain Vidal (Sergi López), who is hunting down rebels in a nearby forest. Ofelia discovers a mysterious labyrinth and meets a Faun (Doug Jones) who reveals she is actually a princess from a magical world. The Faun gives her three dangerous tasks to prove her royal lineage, all while her mother’s health deteriorates and her unborn sibling is at risk. Del Toro directed, wrote, and produced the film through his company, Tequila Gang.

Frankenstein Set to Debut on Netflix

The movie Frankenstein, featuring Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, and Mia Goth, is now showing in some cinemas and will be available on Netflix starting November 7th. It’s received very positive feedback, with a 95% audience score and an 86% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. The film offers a fresh perspective on the classic Frankenstein story.
