Gravitas Ventures has obtained the rights to distribute “Lead and Copper,” a documentary about lead poisoning in Flint, Michigan by William Hart, across the U.S. and Canada. You can watch it on digital platforms starting November 19th.
This movie, titled ‘Lead and Copper,’ reveals how authorities deceived the residents of Flint, Michigan about their water safety, causing thousands to be exposed to lead. The film uncovers the chain of events that led to one of America’s most significant public health crises. By interviewing members of Congress, local officials, environmental scientists, engineering experts, former Environmental Protection Agency employees, and families affected by lead poisoning, the movie shows how Flint is not an isolated case.

The documentary showcases various government figures such as Representative Brenda Lawrence (D-MI), Representative Dan Kildee (D-MI), the late Representative Elijah Cummings (D-MD), former Flint Mayor Dayne Walling, current Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley, Flint Councilman Byrant Nolden, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, Newark Department of Water director Kareem Adeem, and attorney Junius Williams.
Gravitas Ventures’ acquisition manager, Mackenzie Maguire, expressed pride in announcing that ‘Lead and Copper’ will be unveiled this November. This gripping documentary about the Flint Water Crisis is not only educational but also alarming.
In this production, Alex Olsen, Ciaran Birks, and Hart are the main executive producers. Meanwhile, Patrick Letterii takes on the role of a producer. The agreement for this project was made between Talent Representative Maguire and Glen Reynolds from Circus Road Films.
