Okay, I have to admit, Sunday nights are now officially a disaster for my stomach, and it’s all Tim Robinson’s fault! It’s not work, family, or anything serious causing it – it’s just how ridiculously funny and cringeworthy his character, Ron Trosper, is in HBO’s The Chair Company. Honestly, I was starting to worry we were only getting a few episodes, so I’m relieved to hear there’s more to come!
Okay, seriously, this whole thing is huge! It looks like the conspiracy in The Chair Company goes way higher up than we thought – or at least as high as Ron can take it in another season. I’m so excited, HBO has officially renewed the show for Season 2! I’m celebrating by imagining drinking Pepto Bismol out of something fancy and maybe… impulsively giving my boss a little nudge. Just kidding (mostly)!
Seriously though, skip that previous idea. A much better strategy is to have your boss watch the first season of The Chair Company – they’ll be so impressed, you’re practically guaranteed a promotion!
Why The Chair Company’s Season 2 Renewal Is A Great Thing
It’s not hard to see why The Chair Company is so popular. Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin have created something truly unique – a show that’s unlike anything else on TV. It throws logic and expectations out the window, tests your patience, and yet consistently delivers some of the funniest moments you’ll ever see. I could happily watch Ron and his quirky coworkers for years, even if it’s a bit stressful!
The quick renewal is a clear vote of confidence from HBO, and it’s likely the show’s steadily increasing viewership played a big part in that decision. It’s great to see such positive momentum.
Why The Timing Of The Chair Company’s Season 2 Renewal Isn’t Ideal
During an HBO presentation, Casey Bloys, a key executive at the network, confirmed that both The Chair Company and Rachel Sennott’s comedy series I Love LA will be returning for new seasons. He also announced more seasons of House of the Dragon and a new show, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is scheduled to premiere in 2026. Given this timing, it makes perfect sense that this positive news was shared now.

- I Have Lots Of Questions After The Chair Company Episode 6, But There’s One I Absolutely Need An Answer For
While shows like I Love LA focus on everyday life and Task has finished its current season, The Chair Company is currently unraveling a strange and captivating mystery that’s kept both the lead character and the audience guessing. I initially thought this season would tell a complete story, even though it wasn’t billed as a limited series, simply because the plot felt too wild to continue beyond one season.
I’m happy with how the story is developing, but it’s disappointing to know we won’t get full resolution in the next two episodes. It sounds like the finale will leave some questions unanswered, setting up another season of frustrating anticipation. Honestly, I’d prefer the finale to end on a cliffhanger, and then find out a second season is coming. It’s a little comforting to think many other viewers will have the same reaction, experiencing that surprise later on. I’ll just enjoy watching their reactions as if they were my own.
Only two episodes remain! Will Ron discover the true Tecca and manage to capture them? Tune in Sunday night to find out, and don’t miss the final episode after that!
