Hulu has unveiled the preview for the limited series titled Good American Family, which seems to be a dramatic retelling of a true crime saga (reportedly) derived from the film Orphan. This production could be likened to a set of Russian dolls, symbolizing modern-day media. Ellen Pompeo portrays Kristine Barnett in this series, a character who alleged that her adopted daughter Natalia Grace was an adult disguised as a child. Previously, Natalia Grace had appeared on Dr. Phil, and a three-season show on Investigation Discovery delved extensively into the events, ultimately determining whether or not the Barnetts’ claim held water. Unlike its predecessor, Good American Family appears to explore the contentious aspects of the story, so to speak. The trailer suggests that the series is “Inspired by various tales, viewpoints, dangers, interpretations, and accusations.

Apart from Pompeo, the series also features Mark Duplass as Michael Barnett and Imogen Faith Reid as Natalia Grace. Additionally, Dulé Hill, Christina Hendricks, and Mary Birdsong from ‘Reno 911!’ are also part of the cast. Catch ‘Good American Family’ on your screens starting March 19. However, be prepared for some unexpected twists!
