For the very first time, the Godzilla LEGO set has been unveiled, allowing Monsterverse enthusiasts worldwide to construct Toho’s iconic monster piece by piece.
On June 17th, it was officially announced by LEGO that they have approved a Godzilla set created by fans, which was submitted to the LEGO Ideas platform. The creator, Matthew Esposito (also known as MattE720), gathered over 10,000 supporters and received backing from fans worldwide for his blocky design based on Toho’s iconic monster.
The design for the LEGO brick model is heavily influenced by the Godzilla films produced by Legendary Pictures. The designer primarily drew inspiration from Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, and Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire during the creation process.
Godzilla LEGO set finally greenlit
Matthew’s depiction of the massive monstrous figure appears quite sturdy. The LEGO interpretation of this ancient creature stands out notably due to its gigantic limbs, providing stability to the model, given its expansive structure.
Godzilla’s distinctive spiny ridges, found across his back, have been accurately reproduced. Moreover, his tail has a flexible design allowing it to swing from side to side. It seems that his mouth, limbs, and feet can all be positioned differently.
Matthew’s created an imitation of Godzilla’s famous heat-ray breath using a blue LEGO brick beam that attaches to the monster’s mouth.
Buying this model is definitely a must if you’re interested in recreating stunning action scenes or even crafting unique crossover situations. Imagine Godzilla battling the Millennium Falcon, or destroying Hogwarts Castle (I’m sorry, Harry!), it would be quite amusing.
This model is a must-buy for anyone aiming to reenact thrilling action sequences or invent imaginative crossover events. The thought of Godzilla fighting the Millennium Falcon, or demolishing Hogwarts Castle (my apologies, Harry!), is quite humorous.
Even though details about the ultimate design, size, and cost of the LEGO Godzilla set remain undisclosed, there’s no doubt that fans and the original creator are eagerly awaiting a glimpse of the completed model.
Matthew wrote, ‘I wonder what enhancements your team at LEGO could make to this model.’ It’s a dream of his to see how your team might create their unique version of this model using the LEGO parts available to you.
