God Rolls for Watchful Eye in Destiny 2’s Episode Heresy: PVE & PVP

In the first act of Destiny 2’s Episode Heresy, I found myself wielding a fresh batch of tantalizing gear, one standout being the Watchful Eye weapon.

The Machine Gun quickly became popular because of its exceptional bonus features, which were particularly beneficial for players aiming to maximize the enhancements given by Heresy to Arc subclasses. Essentially, Watchful Eye serves as a Legendary counterpart to Thunderlord when you wish to use your Exotic slot for the Kinetic or Special weapon category.

In typical scenarios, performance greatly relies on bonuses, and Watchful Eye becomes a powerful debuff remover that’s hard to ignore when tackling Arc missions.

Watchful Eye is one of the best add-clear weapons for Arc builds.

As a dedicated gamer, I can confidently say that there’s no beating the duo of Overflow and Jolting Feedback when it comes to enhancing Watchful Eye’s performance. These two abilities are simply unmatched!

Instead of Watchful Eye, which lacks Reconstruction as an advantage, circumvents the main disadvantage of the Machine Gun family (running out of ammo) by automatically reloading when either a Special or Heavy ammunition package is gathered, even surpassing the standard ammo capacity in the process.

For the second benefit, you’ve got some great choices between “Rolling Storm” and “Killing Tally”. While both are strong, “Jolting Feedback” stands out due to its capacity to cause widespread Jolt and compatibility with Heresy’s “Dielectric” Artifact Perk.

In the case of Masterwork, it’s typically wise to focus on Reload Speed. However, with Overflow, this becomes irrelevant. Instead, prioritize Improving Handling to boost both the draw and stow speed of Watchful Eye for a smoother gameplay experience.

In most cases, Machine Guns are a solid pick for Heavy weapons in the Crucible. Although Watchful Eye’s PvP perk set is not particularly impressive, the classic duo of Dynamic Sway Reduction and Killing Tally, combined with a Range masterwork, usually does the trick.
